The Express this morning produced the following statistic to compare Rafa's 99 games in charge of Liverpool with his predecessors. They also throw in a few other names. See what you think!

Pld Won Dr Lost Pts %Wins Other games Trophies Won

Rafa 99 55 18 26 183 56 59 4

Houlier 100 49 23 28 170 49 32 1

Evans 100 48 26 26 170 48 30 1

Souness 100 40 28 32 148 40 7 1

Dalglish 100 61 22 17 205 51 39 3

Paisley 100 54 28 18 190 54 35 4

Shankly 100 56 22 22 190 50 12 0

Wenger 100 54 30 16 192 54 32 3

Ferguson 100 45 34 21 169 48 24 0

Mourinho 99 73 18 8 237 74 49 4

Sorry, didn't come out too clearly. Hope you can make sense of it.

If you look at those numbers there has got to be something wrong, compare Rafa`s and King Kenny`s numbers.

And only Souness and Houllier have lost more games, not really comforting is it?

You have to take into account the team that each manager was inheriting as well, as that has a big bearing on those numbers. Rafa's win percentage is excellent.

I'm not sure that win percentage figure for Dalglish is correct. I have sneaking suspicion that if he won 61 out of his first 100 games his win percentage should be 61% not 51% ;)

Are you serious? Is this whole thread tongue in cheek? Please tell me it is

Please explain this to me - King Kenny won 61 out of 100 games but his %Wins is 51%

I have a sneaky suspicion about that as well.

And no I was not serious about the stuff about Rafa, I would not replace him with anyone.

Very true. Players like Biscan, Diouf, Diao, Cheyrou etc were hardly likely to help matters

With a game less Benitez has won more games in the same period than Ferguson and Wenger

Way off the pace at Xmas were we not, called the worst side Hansen had played in during his time by the man himself, pulled apart and rebuilt soon after. It's a debate
