Guest kring Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 (edited) Going to Dunfermline according to Bascombe. Is it a step in the right direction or has his bad discipline finally come back to haunt him?? Edited January 17, 2007 by kring

Sion Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Although Dunfermline are a poor side, bottom of SPL by a long distance.
Zoob Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Would much prefer him to play for a champtionshp side, but I guess as long as he plays, the SPL is better than a reserve game every couple weeks.
Maldini Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 I don't think he's indisciplined. He's not really a troublemaker. He makes bad decisions on the pitch, that's it, he's a huge talent, could go either way though, a spell of regular football will help. Good manager too.
Guest kring Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 I hope Hamill get regular football up there. If so and if Rafa believes in him I think he could go on to be a fantastic player for us
kozma Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 If he can't get a game for Dunfermline, he'd better start looking for a more suitable job.
Maldini Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Dunfermline have been s**** up to now, but Kenny is bringing in a few decent players. He's signed a couple of other wingers, James O'Brien from Celtic who is very highly rated and Bobby Ryan from Shelbourne who is a good player too so Hamill will have to prove himself to get into the team.
Maldini Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Dunfermline - Rangers is on Setanta on Sunday so Irish Reds will be able to watch him if they have it.
magneto Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 I dunno bout this one. Loaning a player is common nowadays but it also smells like a "you're not gonna be good enough" type thing. Gerrard, Owen, Carragher, Fowler never went on loan. yet.. Warnock, Potter, Mellor, etc did Can anyone name a player we've sent out on loan to return as a regular first teamer? Perhaps in the 80s or 90s?

denver Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Good move, I think. I'd read some people thought he needed to toughen up a bit, and the SPL should help him there. And, as has been said, if he can't get into that team nuff said, really.

You asked can anyone name a player we've sent out on loan to return as a regular first teamer? Murphy did that.

Rich Gobey Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Beckham went to Preston, Defoe to Bournmouth. Cant think of any others.

I might be wrong but didnt Warnock, Potter and Mellor go on loan while in their early 20's after a few years in the reserves? Adam is still rather young (18 I believe) and this is a good chance for him to get regular and tougher match. Good move at the right time.
Sion Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Arsenal send a lot of youngsters on loan and it does them no harm, they seem to come back stronger.
Leo No.8 Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Beckham was loaned out by United to Preston as a youngster. Hammill has the talent - he really needs to stand out at Dunfermilne if he's going to make it here though.
