Going to Dunfermline according to Bascombe.

Is it a step in the right direction or has his bad discipline finally come back to haunt him??

Gotta be a good thing.

Players of his ilk need to play.

Would much prefer him to play for a champtionshp side, but I guess as long as he plays, the SPL is better than a reserve game every couple weeks.

I don't think he's indisciplined. He's not really a troublemaker. He makes bad decisions on the pitch, that's it, he's a huge talent, could go either way though, a spell of regular football will help. Good manager too.

I hope Hamill get regular football up there. If so and if Rafa believes in him I think he could go on to be a fantastic player for us

Dunfermline have been s**** up to now, but Kenny is bringing in a few decent players. He's signed a couple of other wingers, James O'Brien from Celtic who is very highly rated and Bobby Ryan from Shelbourne who is a good player too so Hamill will have to prove himself to get into the team.

I dunno bout this one. Loaning a player is common nowadays but it also smells like a "you're not gonna be good enough" type thing.

Gerrard, Owen, Carragher, Fowler never went on loan.

yet..

Warnock, Potter, Mellor, etc did

Can anyone name a player we've sent out on loan to return as a regular first teamer? Perhaps in the 80s or 90s?

If he can't get a game for Dunfermline, he'd better start looking for a more suitable job.

I think most of us could get a game for Dunfermline at the moment

Danny Murphy went back to Crewe for a bit I think.

Good move, I think. I'd read some people thought he needed to toughen up a bit, and the SPL should help him there. And, as has been said, if he can't get into that team nuff said, really.

warnock is a good example of why you should go on loan as he has come back and been given a chance to stake a claim for a firstteam place.

Can't really a Liverpool player, but others have gone & come back to do better things, Murphy is debateable (except at Castle Greyskull)

FV - Preston

Defoe - Bournmouth

Carrick - Swindon

Why is Murphy debatable? You asked can anyone name a player we've sent out on loan to return as a regular first teamer?

Murphy did that.

I might be wrong but didnt Warnock, Potter and Mellor go on loan while in their early 20's after a few years in the reserves? Adam is still rather young (18 I believe) and this is a good chance for him to get regular and tougher match. Good move at the right time.

Beckham was loaned out by United to Preston as a youngster.

Hammill has the talent - he really needs to stand out at Dunfermilne if he's going to make it here though.
