Crouchy is in good goalscoring form now and the Chelsea game is a huge one. However, I've a feeling Rafa might be tempted to resort back to Kuyt and Bellamy with Pennant on the right. We could play all three strikers again but I think Bellamy would have to play on the right.

I'm confident about Chelsea.

 

The LC game was an abberation with a reserve team, and the FA cup game serves as a warning of the way we lost to Chelsea last year.

 

We're due a win in a game like that, and it's as good a time as any to play them.

chelsea have looked weak in recent weaks in the air with terry out......would be crazy not to use this to our advantage, so id say crouch has to play...

this game needs a solid foundation with no messing around with 3 at the back and 3 strikers...

 

hyypia and carra are our most solid pairing at the back and should start...stick aurillio and riise on the left..

Crouch was taken off first and quite early-ish so maybe a precaution for next week... probably wouldn't bet against it being Kuyt and Bellamy though.

Carvalho generally deals with Crouch very well. Him and Makelele have developed a good technique of inducing fouls and bouncing off Crouch in a theatrical manner to gain free kicks when they are beaten in the air.

That's good news if he is. I have a feeling Terry will come back for this game, and if he does I hope someone roughs him up and puts him out for another 6 months! I'd play Crouch and Kuyt and expose the weakness at the back.

Bellamy should definitely start. He's playing brilliantly.
