GK: Italian

Fullbacks: German

Centrebacks: Argentinian

Central Midfield: One Spanish, One English

Wingers: Dutch

Strikers: One Brazilian One English

 

Manager: Rafa

Actually, I think I'd have at least one Italian centreback now I look closer at it. They've produced tons of excellent ones. The Argies however are real nasty b*******s, got to have at least one of those.

 

I think English strikers have held their own. Proper "in the box" strikers that is.

I'd say Argentina will be delighted to learn that the English have fended them off for any midfield spot and furthermore that the Brazilian strikers have to halve their spot with (presumably) Jimmy f*cking Greaves.

Just because there's no Irish.

 

Maybe I should have said Brits, or even whatever, not English, but I stand by my choices. English clubs after all have had great success in Europe down the years with Brits and Irish, long before the influx of continentals.

 

Anyway, Jimmy Greaves was an excellent striker. As was Brian Clough and Lee Chapman.
