Magic8Ball Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Lets see Paletta (CH) , Insua, (LB) Leto (LW) rumours of Mashcherano (DM) any other nextgen Argentinians we should be looking at?
Huyton_Red Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 One who is quite good at football would be nice for a change
Guest Portly Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 If we do sign any Argentinians, I dare say they will be the few crap ones. We seem to have managed to find the only crap Brazilian!
Stevie H Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 If we do sign any Argentinians, I dare say they will be the few crap ones. We seem to have managed to find the only crap Brazilian! that's very harsh on fabio rochemback.

Bootle Buck Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Let's not forget our other great ex-Argentinian ......................................................Pelegrini
RafaShanks Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Isn't Heinze available with Juve sniffing around? Not that the Mancs would ever sell him to us of course.

Guest kopite4life Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 Come on lads be more positive ! I mean palletta will make mistakes remember defenders mature at an older age ! I remember the days when cara was horrible, look at him now ! Regarding the other argies, well I have a good feeling about the Lito lad "Just a feeling".

Carragher was never slow though,Paletta looks slower than Pellegrino.

No doubt Carragher has mature alot over the years but he was never horrible, imho.
jimmylibel Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 The manager was particularly pleased to secure Leto, who had been pursued by Real Betis, Sevilla, River Plate and Getafe, and counts the club's scouting department - emulating Arsenal's emphasis on signing youth - as his principal hope in hauling in the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United. "We spent ?150,000 (£100,000) on the 18-month loan fee for Insua, so it's not big money but shows we're doing the right things quickly," he added. "Other clubs wanted those three players so the fact that we got them shows we are moving faster than our rivals. I know it's the Guardian but it's ok it's Fifield
Sheida V Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Tottenham bidding for Heinze I would actually like Heinze at Anfield. I think he would make us stronger. The 5million fee being quoted is very good as well, IMO.
alias75 Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Heinze would certainly improve the left back position and of course provide cover for centre back too, for that sort of money id hope we'd be interested. Of course its another question if Man utd would sell anyone to us, although the Argentinian contingent here could help
Bootle Buck Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 He's better than Riise that's for sure. Maybe the fact that Rafa had a few Argentinians in his Valencia side will help too. Still I doubt Utd will sell him to us.
Sheida V Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 If we showed an interest and Heinze was keen to come to us ahead of the other clubs being linked to him then I can see it happening. The key is that he'd be desperate to come to us instead of teams like Inter and Valencia, which I doubt.
robfar1 Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Think Heinze would be a great signing but don't see ManU selling him to us...out of interest when's the last time a player moved between the two clubs?

He strikes me as the type of player that will end up in Spain, but if he would sign for another PL side i hope we'd be interested. Given Rafa's penchant for Argies im sure he'd consider him, especially as left back is a problem position at the moment. But i agree for Utd to deal with us it would take Heinze to show an interest in playing here.
Magic8Ball Posted January 17, 2007 Author Posted January 17, 2007 why is heinz out of favour hes seemed quite good when ever Ive watched him - also how much would he cost ? Guess he would be a good alternative to Neil
alias75 Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 why is heinz out of favour hes seemed quite good when ever Ive watched him - also how much would he cost ? Guess he would be a good alternative to Neil the fee being quoted is 5 million, not sure why he hasnt played more this season but that would be my main concern. Fergusson doesnt sell many that go on to prove him wrong, maybe he hasnt recovered from his injury as they'd hoped he would.
