Guest Ant Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Gudjohnson CL Semi-Final '05 Shevchenko CL Final '05 last minute Really weird but every time I see Gudjohnsons miss I bury my head into my arms
Gomez Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Shevchenko Gudjohnson had already missed by the time I realised what was going on (I'd had a few by then)

johngibo YPC Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Gudjohnson's would have been a lot harder to take for me. My heart stopped. When the ball dropped to Shevchenko i had resigned myself to the fact that he would score
Sol Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Gudjohnson CL Semi-Final '05Shevchenko CL Final '05 last minuteReally weird but every time I see Gudjohnsons miss I bury my head into my arms I watched a compilation today on that Final in 2005 and neither scares as much as when Dudek somehow managed that one handed save after Shevchenko shot from two yards!

PhilM Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Shevchenko's was all a bit sudden. Gudjohnsen's seem to float over to him in slow motion. I actually got scared at Gudjohnsen's but Sheva's was onto the track before I'd realised what was going on.
Guest Cameron Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 (edited) I would have died had Gudjohnson scored. For f*ck sake, the ref added something like 7 minutes of added time and Gudjohnson had that shot in the 95th or 96th minute. Honestly I would have killed the ref had he scored. Sheva's shot and Dudek's save all happened so quickly I didn't have time to think. Edited January 9, 2007 by Cameron
Kite Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 The world stopped still long enough for me to feel physically ill watching Gudjohnsen's chance. Would have been a crime against humanity for them t***s to get to the final (perhaps a very slight exaggeration there I'll concede). Sheva's I was already elated we had managed to get where we were at that stage plus it seemed to happen a whole lot faster.

Sion Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Gudjohnson made me absolute s*** my pants literally. Shevchenko - Don't know why but for some reason with all the pressure in ET I just assumed AC would score, so I was braced for it and didn't really go 'oh my god no'

Rimbeux Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 I didn't think Gudjonson could score, for some reason the angle fooled me, it was only after I saw what a good chance it was, at the time I was reasonabley sure he'd miss. With Sheva I'd been through the mill so much I was untouchable, I'd already gone
Guest DanTheDaggerman Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 (edited) Definitely Gudjonson for me. The slow-motion way it came to him and how the TV camera angle was right behind him as he shot made it horrible to watch. Even now, I think it's going to go in. Sheva's two shots were too fast for me to realise what had happened until Dudek stood there nodding. Edited January 9, 2007 by DanTheDaggerman
Guest Anders Honoré Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Godjohnson's chance just passed too fast for me to truly realise how close he came to scoring. Sheva was almost slowmotion for me. I was sure it would go in before he even connected with the ball. Feel the same way everytime I see it.
LFCNeil90 Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Everytime I see Gudjohnson's i still think its going in and we've been f***ed over in the last minutes Shevchenko's was just f***ing bizarre how the hell it did not go in I will never know
