fair play. wasn't going to be in the f***ing triple jump though was it?

he is supposed to be arriving in Sevilla next week to start a special training course at the CAR school on the river Guadalquivir - it's the place where all the best Spanish rowers do their winter training.

This means that he has stopped drinking then.

Good for him.

To be fair though, I could announce that I was hoping to make it to 2012 as a rower. doesn't mean it's going to happen.

be funny though, crossing the line 15 minutes after everyone else whilst throwing up and coughing up a lung at the same time.

Probably a stupid question, but will it be for the paralympics or is he hoping to compete in regular competitions?

I would expect the normal ones, it's hardly a massive disadvantage missing a leg for rowing.

Getting in and out the boat would take a bit of getting used to.

Even if he did win the Olympics he's no good. Any local amateur would beat him.

There's a legless joke in there, but even I have standards.
