Were they still too hungover from celebrating last night or what? And Alan Irvine was on Radio Merseyside last night saying how Everton were aiming to be the first team to play at the new Wembley!!! Here's a suggestion, moron, why not wait until you're nearer the semi-final than the opening game before coming out with such s****?

I really hope they get that 55k stadium, watching it be half empty every game will be hiliarious. Watching them go bankrupt because of it will be even funnier though

Explains the ads in the echo end of last week.

They must be all skint from buying their half season tickets.

Remember those old radio ads in the early eighties:

"GET DOWN TO GOODISON! da da da da da... calling all blues for this important home league clash with coventry city..."

24000 is a disgrace. Sooner they leave the city the better.

Yeah, we're the disgrace.

Finally, one of you admits it, usually you lot hide behind the laughable "Peoples club" "School of science" "1=20" s**** but we all know you're a disgrace to the City and football in general. (Which to be fair you have now acknowledged too, better late than never and all that eh?)

Yeah, we're the disgrace.

24000 is the opening round of the only competition you may win is a disgrace

Stupid ball

Moyes admitted that his side didn't exploit the specialised FA Cup ball as well as his opponents.

The Umbro-manufactured ball, different to the one used in the Premiership, seemed to prove problematic for goalkeeper Tim Howard, as two long-range strikes from Morten Gamst Pedersen caused him problems for the first two goals.

Blackburn manager Mark Hughes revealed that his players had worked on exploiting the "unpredictable" nature of the ball and Moyes said: "I spoke to a couple of people about how the ball was moving and I think that did contribute.

"It was swerving about a bit and maybe it was something we didn't notice quite as much.

"I think Tim should have saved the free-kick because I'm not convinced it was in the corner of the net."

Wouldn't there always be two 'first teams' to play at Wembley, or do Everton expect to get to Wembley and calculated wining the toss as well?

Is it Heysel's fault if the coin lands on tails?
