I just heard that. Do they not feel embarrassed when they're singing that?

was just thinking exactly the same. didnt hear much joining in from the crowd though, so maybe they are rightly embarassed. tools.

Seeing as both Cardiff and Swansea could be heard clearly having a go at the English (and no doubt Wrexham were doing it at Derby if my sole experience of the Racecourse is any guide-Kenny hat trick) isn't it time we kicked these wools out of English competitions and let them play each other every week?

They are a load of inbred neanderthals who only turn up when there's a chance of a seventies-style kick-off against the English sides. Who needs them?

From all accounts some of the cardiff 'hard' boys are also Liverpool fans. That from some welsh valley boy Liverpool fan living in Cardiff.

I'm Welsh and live in Cardiff. I dont support them and can't say I'm overly bothered about another team singing our song. But it's your type of f*****g arrogant attitude that get's on my *** and you all wonder why so many Welsh have such bad feeling to the English?? Go back to your f*****g upper class English love-in with that ginger twot Anne Robinson, f****g muppet.

If you don't like the English why do you follow Liverpool? I'm not arrogant or upper class and I've no time for Anne Robinson. But I object to Welsh teams singing what amounts to racist songs on the rare occassions that the mickey mouse teams get any publicity. I don't want Welsh teams in the League or the Cups any more than I want Scottish teams in them.

Whenever Cardiff or Swansea play in the Cup outside Wales you can virtually guarantee trouble. We've moved on from that.

I don't dislike the English, I'm married to one. What I do dislike is English people, and there are many of them, with the attitude you've just expressed. As for racist, chanting, re-read your post, it is about as racist against the Welsh as you can get.

Now your point about not allowing Welsh teams in the Cup is a fair point, for debate. But your derogatory remarks about the Welsh is not, making you no better than the people you were criticising in the first place.

I suppose you were calling Ian Rush an inbred neanderthal when he played significant roles in winning league titles/European Cups etc. for Liverpool? Thought not.

I don't dislike the Welsh people actually. They've always been very welcoming when Liverpool have played at Cardiff.

But Swansea and Cardiff fans show the same xenophobic attitude as Ingerlund fans (whom I also despise) playing in Germany every time they cross the border. If they hate it that much, don't bother coming.

The thing I find funny is on holiday a few years back their was this welsh lad

and I wore my England shirt one night and he was disgusted and so were some other seperate welsh people saying how bad us English were...

It's like, England don't have a hatred for Wales yet some welsh fans have this need to kick off every week

Fair enough, but I think your post is not clear on that and implies it's to all Welsh (as does the first post too).

As previously stated, re-read some of the posts in this thread and you have partly the answer as to why.

For the avoidance of doubt, I dislike Swansea and Cardiff fans who want to recreate whatever conflict there was between the English and the Welsh hundreds of years ago every time they get the opportunity. And when I went to Wrexham (admittedly it was about 1978) they were the same. These fans, and to an extent some Welsh people in general circumstances, seem to think that as they are a minority compared to the English we should accommodate the aggressive behaviour that their shoulder chips generate.

It would also suit me to have Millwall kicked out of the League and Cups as well.

Me? I don't care. I'd rather go to Cardiff than Wembley but that's not because it's in Wales, just because it's not in London.

 Seeing as it's been made a national thing I'd like to point out again that Shamrock Rovers fans, scummiest of the scum though they may be, were singing the Ring of Fire chant at matches since the early 1990s.

Did you know that you can shoot a Welshman in the town squares of Chester, Oswestry and Hereford with a bow and arrow should he dare to be there on a Sunday? True that. One of those archaic laws that have never been repealed.

My bird's Welsh, she's sound and she gets really embarrassed by some of the anti-English sentiment. Her Dad watches England matches keenly and follows us like they are his second team, he's a good Red as well.

Its on market day in Hereford. Hereford Utd fans also started singing Ring of Fire last season coincidentally. Or not.

Why do you think these nasty Welsh people (the embarrassments, I mean, not the sound ones who really like England) might have anti-English sentiments?
