Guest Kev Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 RTK are organising a mass show of protest towards Kelvin McKenzie during the Arsenal FA Cup game on Saturday 6th January. There is a thread on RAWK about it. www.reclaimthekop.co.uk/ We've all had a moan about the atmosphere, now is your chance to do something about it. Have a gander through the thread on RAWK and also a few on www.raotl.co.uk. There are some great ideas about doing things and mega to those who started RTK.
Guest Si Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 The 6 mins is a great idea but some of the stuff they are saying about certain groups of fans stinks.
anny road Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 The 6 mins is a great idea but some of the stuff they are saying about certain groups of fans stinks. i totally agree there were some scalls yesterday giving it "we all dream of a kop without the wools.." aimed at me....... i dont have to justify my support to no-one, especially some spotty scally with no brain cells...... i will end up having a row very soon I dont mind the Reclaim the Kop campaining, but there are alot (esp younger fans) who think it is Reclaiming the kop for Scousers...........Well i aint apologising for not being born within the city of Liverpool to anyone, and I wont stop wtching the club I love, they better get used to it

Or am I missing something? thats to do with spurs missing out Champions League football last season. One story doing the rounds was that half the team went down with food poisoning the morning of the last game of the season. Allegations were made that the Chef was a an Arsenal fan. Edit: i bet it was a shiite song an all. Edited December 31, 2006 by Jonesy

matty Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 Yeah a k****ead behind me started singing that.. and a song about lasagne (only eating the cheese) which sounded bizarre. Or am I missing something? Is it because Jewish people can't eat Lasagne, due to it containing both meat and dairy products?
johngibo YPC Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 Bit in the Guardian today about MacKenzie. Top of Scott Murray's wishlist for 2007 is ... for professional ignorant blowhard Kelvin MacKenzie to finally admit he's been talking out of his flabby a*** for nigh on two decades about Hillsborough and to put his hands up in humble apology, finding out in the process how lovely it is to be able to look at himself in the mirror every morning like the rest of humanity (even if, technically speaking, he still wouldn't be able to do it, given that no mirror has yet been built large enough to fit the whole of such a bulbous head within its frame). linkhttp://blogs.guardian.co.uk/sport/2007/01/...g_wishlist.html

I'm really keen to mix and mingle with you guys before, during and after the game but having read through some of that thread on RAOTL i'd have to admit that i'm a bit intimidated by some of the stuff that's being bandied about. I love the club, its history and can't wait to learn all the songs but will I be frowned upon because i'm a 'daytripper' or an OOT'er?
Kenny_ Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 The 6 mins is a great idea but some of the stuff they are saying about certain groups of fans stinks. And what have they said then ? Read the official statements from RTK for f*** sake. It's got f*** all to do with where people come from but about attitude. Fair play to these lads who's started this campaign. This is a great initiative from RTK. JFT 96 Never buy the S*n

Jarg Armani Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 must say i'm pleasantly surprised at how cooperative the club are being. mosaic should look amazing, will be difficult to ignore...
Guy_Incognito Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 I'm amazed that the club have gone along with this seeing as how, essentially, it's a criticism of the BBC.

You will be well looked after. Where is your ticket for? We're in the Kop and if you are worried, I'm happy to meet up with you inside or out to ease your fears. But having said that, you'll be absolutely fine, trust me.

That's a massive part of the problem with this stuff however well meaning it starts out. Part of the character of the city itself (which the football club represents) is how welcoming it is. Football club is the same. Enjoy the match.
Guest Kev Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 I really hope this comes off, a lot of work has gone into this.
