NWR Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 Didier Drogba has stated that he is the best player in the English League. Ok, he is playing very well at the moment, but he spoils it with some of his silly antics. I dont think he is the best player atm, but I am not going to name the player who is. Your thoughts?

NWR Posted December 24, 2006 Author Posted December 24, 2006 close the thread. Why? Its in the news today. Its general football related. Dont you want anyone to slip up and say another player is better this season? OK, close thread.
Cobs Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 Why? cos anny's answer is 100% spot on. a rarity in itself
Stevie H Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 kanu is having a good season. but anny road is right.
Rimbeux Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 (edited) Is Drogba actually making a claim to be the best player full stop, not just the form player, but better than Henry and Gerrard good? Edited December 24, 2006 by Rimbeux
NWR Posted December 24, 2006 Author Posted December 24, 2006 Is Drogba actually making a claim to be the best player full stop, not just the form player, but better than Henry and Gerrard good? Not sure. He's just saying that he is the best player in the EPL at the moment. I agree he is one of the best, just not sure the best. Looking at the table we are exactly half way through the season. Noticed that teams like Portsmouth, Bolton who have good seasons still don't have enough points to say that they are safe from going down (39 to 40 points) :D

Guz Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 Drogba has been one of the most important players for his club since he arrived in the premiership, even before he started scoring wonder goals.
Ostrich Man Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 Ronaldos not the best player in the premiership and he is also a cun+you dont play in the premiership and youre an utter c***
Florist Cinema Pond Goal Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 Isn't it a shame that the two biggest stars of the current season have to mix brilliance with an element of sliminess. Highly talented diving c****.

fred milne Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 Drogba, Essien and Ronaldo have stepped up their game to another level this season. Ferguson must be regretting not competing harder with Chelsea for Essien. For me, he's the closest thing around to the young Roy Keane - aggressive, strong, quick and versatile.

Cam Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 It's not just our big names who have had an overall poor start to the season. Many of the big time players throughout the league have had indifferent starts, particularly at the four CL clubs.

Rimbeux Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Parry must be regretting not trying harder to bring Essien to Liverpool while Houllier was in charge. why? The plan was to buy him and loan him out, he vetoed it. Did the same to Diarra who never kicked a ball for us, and with Biscan, Cheyrou and Diao impossible to move on, chances are he wouldn't have either.

Did the same to Diarra who never kicked a ball for us, and with Biscan, Cheyrou and Diao impossible to move on, chances are he wouldn't have either. Essien didn't vetoe it. I was watching an interview with the lad on Eurosport earlier on in the season and they were talking about his career so far, and he actually mentioned his move to us. He was all set to come but was denied a work permit. Chelsea 1-0 Reading. Dider Drogba.....
