I've always liked the lad, has scored some important goals for us, I think he should be given a proper chance next year, he's had a very good season with Recre at the moment, and are currently 7th which is IMO a huge achievement for a club of that size.

He's never had the right attitude and clearly doesn't get on with Rafa/vice versa. Decent player who's got us out of s*** enough times though. Nice to hear he's doing well, as he has talent.

jesus i dont see how of all people pongolle's attitude can be criticised. He spent a lot of time on the bench, had one article were his comments were taken out of context and been pretty important for us a number of times. fair enough he doesn't fit into the plans of rafa but that's not pongolle's fault. It's a fair comment from him imo - he's too good a player to go to any club and spend all his time on the bench. the alternative is a player happy to spend time on the bench! which would you rather have!

And in the other La Liga game last night, Sevilla won 4-0 and Daniel Alves was instrumental. He whipped in a menacing free-kick for Fabiano to make it 2-0 and he curled a free-kick into the top corner to make it 4-0.

 

We could really do with getting this guy. Not only is he a fantastic player - his dead ball skills are phenomenal!!

I only caught their second goal - they ought to take the World Player award off Cannavarro for his pathetic effort to prevent it.

 

I was looking for Pongo, but didn't recognise him - that kit must make you look taller.

 

Always liked him - the little spin/turn/dummy against Arsenal ("Viera's going to need a ticket to get back in after that") was priceless.

I always liked Sinama and would have liked to see him make something of himself at our great club. I feel he wasnt really given the chance to play regularly enough, even though he would always impress as a sub.

 

I hope things go well for him at Recreativo because its clear Rafa doesnt like him enough to bring him back...

Still a young guy. He has miles more quality than any of our youngsters. If he were a scouser, he'd have played many more games for us, and certainly would not have gone out on loan Hopefully we'll get a decent fee when he goes

Benitez facing Sinama decision

 

Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez will have a dilemma on his hands next summer - thanks to the fine form of Reds loanee Florent Sinama-Pongolle.

 

The French striker has been in tremendous form since being sent on a season loan to unfancied Recreativo de Huelvo.

 

And Sinama-Pongolle proved himself more than capable of performing at the highest level with a magnificent display in the club's historic 3-0 win over Real Madrid at the Bernabeu on Wednesday.

 

He outwitted Ballon D'or winner Fabio Cannavaro to score his sixth in nine starts in an historic 3-0 away win for the Spanish minnows, who currently lie a surprising seventh in La Liga.

 

Recreativo have an option to buy the striker if they can meet Liverpool's asking price, but Sinama's exploits are sure to be alerting others to his quality.

 

"We have scouts watching all our loan players and we know Sinama is playing very well in Spain," Benitez told the Liverpool Echo.

 

"We are analysing every game our loan players are involved in and know exactly what each is doing.

"It's far too early to say what's going to happen in the future.
