Buying a House

A bit of help please.

 

I'm buying a house with my wife and we are in a contract race to get it completed. As the mortgage will just be in my name, I have been told that the easiest/fastest thing to do would be to have the property title in my sole name.

 

I have a few questions:

1) Does this impact my/our tax situation?

2) If I snuff it, does it cause my wife ownership and/or tax probelms?

3) Is it easy for we to subsequently chase the ownership to jiont names?
