sutty Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 He's 1.04 on betfair to be sacked this season WHU have just called a press conference
johngibo YPC Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 2:15 apparantly. Maybe its a statement to say he's staying? A bit like Homer's 'everything is ok' alarm
Benitez Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 2:15 apparantly. Maybe its a statement to say he's staying? A bit like Homer's 'everything is ok' alarm seems a bit pointless to make a big song and dance out of that though, i.e. stating they are releasing a statement at a certain time rather than just release one to their website. But then, maybe they want a bit of attention
Gilps Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 He's been sacked. Breaking news ticker thingie on BBC site.
sutty Posted December 11, 2006 Author Posted December 11, 2006 http://www.whufc.com/articles/article.php?page_id=8586 Curbishley the favourite
Boca Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 They bring in players over his head, a decision that totally disrupts them, and then sack him. I know it's a different board now but it's still a bit harsh, especially since they had a decent season last year.
jfogarty Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 Pardew is a good manager and hes been given a raw deal with the sacking. I know they are struggling but they have had a great couple of seasons and he deserved more time. "The Chairman, Mr Eggert Magnusson, and the Board have been concerned by the performances of recent weeks and feel that it is the right time to make a change in the best interests of the Club. " Something to be wary of with foreign ownership
Gilps Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 The fans aren't exactly happy about the decision, judging by the KUMB forum.
Stevie H Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 feel a bit sorry for him. he had his team playing as a unit last season and then had the rug pulled from under him. the tevez / mascherano thing has been disgraceful really.
Bootle Buck Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 Pardew seems like a nice fella who did a great job getting them promoted and then having a great first season in the prem. He is undermined with the Tevez/Macherino circus and it dirupts his teams harmony and cohesion. He gets a new owner who gives him a whopping two games and then fires him. This type of stuff makes a mockery of the game. FFS he is a Hammers supporter and has done a great job until recently the least they can do is give him some time and money to pull it around.
Gilps Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 i can see Charlton going for Pardew now He'll get a decent job. He was fine there overall and was doing well at Reading before that. He's a good manager.
Benitez Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 (edited) The fans aren't exactly happy about the decision, judging by the KUMB forum. aye, they seem to be very unhappy with the players, and especially Mr Reo Coker. He'll get a decent job. He was fine there overall and was doing well at Reading before that. He's a good manager. it's alright, he's already got a decent job on Sky Sports Edited December 11, 2006 by Benitez
jfogarty Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 i can see Charlton going for Pardew now He can go there next week. Hate playing teams when a new manager just comes in
Guest Anders Honoré Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 good manager, but all things considered it was hard to see him turn it around. He was undermined.
Bigal Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 aye, they seem to be very unhappy with the players, and especially Mr Reo Coker.it's alright, he's already got a decent job on Sky Sports why? whats reo-coker done?
Guest Anders Honoré Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 been s****, apparently. Along with the likes of Konchesky and Etherington.
DonRafa Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 Pardew is a good manager and hes been given a raw deal with the sacking. McBain Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 why? whats reo-coker done? Sweet feck all. Which is part of the problem, The c*nt is in my ff team though, so it's no surprise
