Guest Sabre Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 I was driving around town yesterday and I just started chuckling to myself. The other half thought I was being a bit odd. The reason? I was recollecting how we won the Champions League in 2005...coming back from 3 down against the mighty AC Milan in just one half of football which was brought from the Gods. Watching Vladimir striking a ball so sweetly from 25 yards in his last game for the club made me laugh a little more, as well as how he was the one to strike the winning penalty. I was thinking of Carra leaping past Jerzy after the penalty was saved from Shevchenko and of Carra with his arms raised as he stood in front of the Liverpool fans. Pure unadulterated joy. I just watched the highlights from yesterday as well. How great to see us playing some first touch, assured attacking football. I love watching Stevie G haring around the pitch, linking defence and attack and then busting a gut to get on the end of a pass for a shot. Dirk Kuyt with his endless enthusiasm and running, but also his intelligence even when striking a ball at goal. Watching Bellers tear a man a new a*** with his pace...watching Pennant finally show a bit of the potential that he clearly has...and Danny Agger proving once more that he has what it takes to be a world class centre back. So many positives and so many great reasons to love our club. I'm well happy today
