Spike Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 following me and my mate both thinking the other was organising tickets for the Fulham game I ended up taking the niece to the Alex against Forest. f***ing hell we have it good at Anfield. Spent the whole 90 minutes freezing my a*** off, due to an open stand, a half full crowd and the BIL's season ticket seat being right where the wind and rain cuts right through, and also at a game where the alex were 4-1 down at half time. Otsemebor was booed throughout after refusing to sign a new contract and didn't get a chance to see O'Donnel play either. The niece wasn't too happy with me trying to learn her 'we hate nottingham forest' on the way to the ground and it's very strange how fan's instincts kick in - the amount of times I got up to shout f*** off, get the c***, yerraf***ingg******* etc only to realise I would have been the only one and our lol, 12 years old, and her mate zoe were there forshame! Did I mention that it was f***ing freezing as well? honestly, when I got up at the end of the game my knackers were freezing cold - not that I could sense their coldness individually but i did when as I walked they touched my inner thigh and f***ing hell they were like icicles. The one brightside is that even though it's a small ground they have almost as many food counters as they do in the kop - certainly more than the anny road or main stand. Also they have half a dozen TVs at the back of the stand so you can keep in touch with other results. Had to laugh at the one of the mascots who was a proper crewite. When asked how long he'd supported the club for he said in the most crewey accent you could ever hear from a 7 year old 'A very long time'.

Cam Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 Otsemebor was booed throughout after refusing to sign a new contract He hasn't learned his lesson. He turned them down once before and came back to us. He was bloody fortunate they asked again or he'd be working in Lidl now.
Guest Portly Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 George Sephton was keeping us up to date at Anfield with the score at Crewe - because, he said, someone had asked him to. The mystery Crewe supporter must have wished he hadn't bothered. George played a record by Del Shannon at half-time, incidentally. He's like that.
