Pennant deserves to start after his performance against Galatasary.

 

Bellamy to start given his form alongside Kuyt as their pace and movement will cause Knight more problems than direct balls up to Crouch. Plus Bellamy could exploit the space that Rosenior can leave as he likes to get forward from full back.

Thats brilliant for us as they dont have any good defenders. City and Portsmouth can do it, these cant as their centre backs are the usually the horrendous Ian Pearce and the even worse Zat Knight.

Yep, he won't start. It seems to be the Rafa-formula - score and you get rotated.

 

I've a feeling we'll see something very special today. 5-0 and a few goal of the month contenders. Also, Guthrie will come off the bench to get the fifth. Gerrard, Alonso (2, one freekick and one from his own half) and Bellamy to get the others. Fowler to miss a penalty in injury time with the worst attempt ever. Fulham have one sent off and Boa Morte stretchered off.

 

So a dull 0-0 (un)inspired by frozen fans too cold to do owt then.
