honourablegeorge Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 He's debating whether to accept, wants to play, naturally. Where does that leave Carson, I wonder? I can't see him coming back if Dudek is still here as No. 2.

_00_deathscar Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 KIRKLAND? Aside from the fact that he's no longer AT Liverpool, why would you rather see Kirkland than Dudek? Kirkland's hopeless...

Spike Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 aye but when we got him from Cov we had the safestyle BOGOF offer - hence how he can still play for us

So a technicality rather than a desire to keep him on the books

Kahnee Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 andyc said: Fully aware of that fact...Still offers more than jerzy short and long term In the short term, he's a Wigan player. In the long-term, he's a Wigan player. The basics aside, he's not as good a keeper as Dudek. Equally as error-prone, but his reflexes are slower and his positional sense is worse than Jonesy's after a night on the sauce
honourablegeorge Posted December 5, 2006 Author Posted December 5, 2006 Stephen Hawking has better reflexes than Kirkland.

I'd be happy for him to stay if the wages reflected him being a backup keeper, but I can't understand why he would want to, unless he gets dips on the league cup and fa cup or something similar.
