Bigal Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Bellamy was flagged offside, yet Boyce was pulling his shirt back and got booked, however David Platt thinks the booking shouldnt stand as Bellamy was offside. So, when we play the Mancs next, we should play both rooney and ronaldo offside and then break their legs, but no-one will be red carded as they were offside. When we play Arsenal, kick the ball out for a throw in and head butt Henry, the ball was out of play, therefore its ok. What do you reckon?
Bailo Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Also liked his comment "if you've got a great player like Gerrard, you've got to give into his whims". Management school 101, thats whay "Platty" is in charge of....er.......

Nebraska Red Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 I don't know he gets the job as sidekick on TV, he is awful to listen to and sounds so rural it is comical. Him and Pleat are getting money for nothing, they are horrible.

FC Showster Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 That was an incident which showed that the the officialss don't understand the offside law. Bellamy might have been in an offside position but is the law not that he can't be flagged unless he touches the ball? Why did the linesman flag? A few minutes earlier he'd let play continue for almost 10 seconds with Bellamy clearly offside and running after the ball but only flagged when he touched it
Stevie H Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 david pleat should stick to print. he has a voice that's made for silence. david platt should stick to running bars in wolverhampton.
Superjay Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 "the ref has had a very strange 20 mins" Said with 10 mins on the clock. I'm wondering what happened in the tunnel.
Guest stevo96 Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 he hates us for some reason. is he a manc? i remember he was on sky doing one of our games with rednapp and the subject of istanbul came up, and it turns out that he wanted milan to win because he'd played in italy, which i found a bit odd.

Internationinteroperability Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 I thought Man-U-Riley was schite! Platt was extremely dull to listen to but I didn't understaind either why Boyce got booked. Riley blew for offside so how could he book Boyce for wanting to touch Bellers a bit too much? It wasn't anything like deliberately breaking a leg, you know. Besides, Bellamy was office before Boyce clattered him (I think). Unsure about the rules here, I'm afraid. But GOD I hate Riley!!! The sight of him makes me feckin' sick!
JonShar Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 I think David Pleat is feckin ace, he comes up with some right doozies.
