Herbie von Smalls Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 could this herald a third league defeat in a row for arsenal tomorrow? here's hoping.
CarraLegend Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 could this herald a third league defeat in a row for arsenal tomorrow? here's hoping. Might not be that bad a thing, they seem to be a better "team" this season when he doesnt play, well bar the Bolton game anyway but they always lose their with him to. He's still got a decent goals tally but he looks to me that he regrets not going to Barca. ANALYSE THE BODY LANGUAGE!!!
Knox_Harrington Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 ANALYSE THE BODY LANGUAGE!!!I love how mediocre players never get that. No one ever goes "Graham Kavangh doesn't look happy in this advance role to me. Look at his body language."

Bootle Buck Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 Maybe the fact that he lost several players who made him look great over the years and they have been replaced by youngsters. Viera, Bergkamp and Pires are all players who combined very well with Henry it's hard top replace that synergy. He hasn't looked the same supremely confident player this season.
floyd Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 He hasn't looked the same supremely confident player this season. That's because he's pining to step out and hear the Kop roar his name.
Benzo-13 Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Supposed to have had a "bust-up" with Wenger as usual.. Sneaky Jan bid perhaps???
Koogan Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Sneaky Jan bid perhaps??? No, I'd prefer a Cheeky Jan bid myself, to be honest

I know what you mean about the class players that have left Arsenal but Henry (like Gerrard) has just started the season very slowly. He will be the best footballer as usual come May
McBain Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 The gods aren't smiling on Spurs here. 2-0 down, the first offside, the second a harsh penalty

floyd Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Harsh peno is an understatement!!!!!Poll in controversial decision shocker
Stevie H Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 i don't get spurs. loads of decent players but they're rubbish.
Gerry Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 The gods aren't smiling on Spurs here. 2-0 down, the first offside, the second a harsh penalty First goal was clearly just onside. Both penalties were harsh though (the 2nd simply because van Persie handled the ball first). Spurs were well beaten though.
Herbie von Smalls Posted December 3, 2006 Author Posted December 3, 2006 anyone else reckon henry's antics at the match today were more than a trifle embarrassing? i've never seen anyone allowed to act the way he did today. hanging around the tunnel just before the team went out, making a point of talking to each of his team-mates in full view of the cameras. then after the first goal he came out of the stands and into the technical area to hug adebayor. is anyone that's not in the matchday squad permitted to do that? perhaps he wanted to make a point about there being no problem with wenger and his commitment to the club, but for someone not actually taking part in the match he seemed to have a lot of freedom to come and go as and where he pleased. at best i thought he was unprofessional, at worst i thought he was downright arrogant. whatever the explanation was, i think he was pretty shameless in his egotism. judging from wenger's post-match interview on motd, i suspect the manager is not altogether enamoured of henry and his behaviour in the last day or two.
Guest Barcamania Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 I didn't watch the game. But I watched some Arsenal games this season and to me Henry is just s****! May be not as bad as Gudjohnsen, but still s****. He missed so many chances that Cesc and co creates. Well, it would have been OK, but after anybody other misses a chance he shows how frustrated he is and he even yells at them. Who is he? Overrated t*** IMO!So glad that Barca didn't buy him. He had good shot/finish and pace, but it seems that his finish is s**** now and he is slow.

What I did find interesting like you said was Wenger's post match interview. He said something like "We'll both have to have a sit down and sort it out" I mean either he's injured and can't or shouldn't play or was he referring to something else. Now I know not all injuries are black and white (i.e. Henry could and wants to play but in the long run Wenger want's him to recover 100%) but it just seemed like he was referring to something other than an injury. This is not a body language post btw but I did find it interesting

DonRafa Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 No, I'd prefer a Cheeky Jan bid myself, to be honest Henry's recent behaviour and obvious discontent with Wenger is as clear a 'come and get me LFC' plea as you could want to see!

And Guðjohnsen has been pretty decent for Barca this season so get that sand out of your vagina dudette.
