anny road Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 There were hearts in mouths when Liverpool's last remaining fit left-sided player stayed down and hobbled away after an innocuous challenge from Trabelsi. Until we realised it was John Arne Riise - a man with the breaking point of a Kit Kat. http://icliverpool.icnetwork.co.uk/0500liv...-name_page.html
Kenny_ Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 That bluenose c*** Prentice wrote that anny.

Hightown Phil Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 And it's perfectly accurate. I've never seen anyone with a lower pain threshold.
Zoob Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 ...yet, to be fair he's rarely actually out injured.
Guest Cardie Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 And it's perfectly accurate. I've never seen anyone with a lower pain threshold. Being smashed in the eye didn't seem to bother him.
slapnuts Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Being smashed in the eye didn't seem to bother him. too rights. He is rock.
spencer Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Bizarre comment! - the way Riise reacted to the headbutt from Menegazzo made me proud to have him as a Liverpool player. Few others in the modern game would have behaved in the same way. And, as has been said, how often does he get injured anyway?

psl Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 I remember him getting hit full on in the face with the ball in the Charity Shield against Arsenal a few years back and getting a cheer when he got straight up. Think the remark is incorrect and a little out of order.

Knox_Harrington Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Of course he's a s***house. All due respect for the headbutt but had that lad got near his f***ing elbow Riise would have gone down like a sack of s****. Like him though.

Will Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 And yet he is never injured, which is quite handy...
CarraLegend Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 And yet he is never injured, which is quite handy... He's been injured twice this season for a few weeks each time but yeah that doesnt often happen. Hopefully Marc Gonzales can have Riise's injury record over the coming years
Bootle Buck Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Compared to the likes of Ronaldo, Robben and Drogba he is like Tommy Smith. I agree with Annie Rd, he can be a s***house in the tackle at times.
shanks59 Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Have to agree, Ginger is a COWARD. If you are not convinced, watch his next 50:50 challenge. After 5+ years, he still can't defend. Dreading ANY team with a reasonable right winger, i.e. Spurs away, when Aaron Lennon will piss all over him (5-3-2?)

madaboutlfc Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 That bluenose c*** Prentice wrote that anny. who would have guessed that c***sucker would be slagging one of our players off
shanks59 Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 You've not changed I see No I haven't (he is better than Warnock). Don't mind him playing on the wing against West Brom ;-). I'm hoping we sign Neill, and that he plays left-back. Ginger will still get games against weak opposition/in midfield.
Tosh Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Jesus Christ. Nah, he plays on the right. Spectacles, testicles, wallet and watch Duh!
Jimi Rojo Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 he did ok with the headbutt, but sometimes I f***ing cringe at him for a big lad he is a f***ing girl at times What the f*** are you tallking about?
