I don't think he threw it away,he just didn't have it.He had the physical tools,definitely,but mentally he didn't.Concentration and self-belief are the two biggest attributes a goalkeeper can have,in my opinion,and he had neither.

On his day,he's phenomenal though,like that Portsmouth game.
