CHRed Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 When you see Celtic Park singing our anthem with so much passion and noise compared to us?
Des Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 If it was against the Mancs on a European night, it'd be sung with more "noise and passion".
Gilps Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Only ever see Celtic on European nights and the odd Old Firm game, so hard to judge. Bet its nothing like that at home against Falkirk.
Andy @ Allerton Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 When you see Celtic Park singing our anthem with so much passion and noise compared to us? Not arsed

Bet its nothing like that at home against Falkirk. maybe not quite but still pretty good. I went to a pre season game v Arsenal there and the YNWA was well done.
Guest Jude Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Only ever see Celtic on European nights and the odd Old Firm game, so hard to judge. Bet its nothing like that at home against Falkirk. You wanna bet. Been there, heard it,cried my eyes out.
Coyler Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 There was a .mpeg doing the e-mail rounds years ago of the mass YNWA at the Celtic vs Liverpool UEFA Cup match that was pretty good.
Bootle Buck Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 It sends chills down my spine not matter who sings it. They did it justice last night.
casey Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 I have to say Celtic fans sing it brilliently before every game.
Guz Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Celtic did the song justice last night which was pretty good. And am sure it pissed off plenty of mancs too. Best YNWA i've heard on tele is still after the CL semi in 2005. Just an unbelievable outpouring of emotion that was bottled up in 6mins of injury time.
Chili Palmer Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 They do it well, not as well as us, but well. It would have killed the mancs listening to that! I can understand Rangers fans calling Celtic a horrible team or saying f*** them, but Liverpool fans? that baffles me, they're not even in our league. Celtic as a club do a lot to stop the bigotry but some fans won't let it go but we have our share of d****eads as fans doesn't mean we are all the same.
Benzo-13 Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 makes my skin crawl. Horrible fecin team Bit much.. Only team that bring that out are the Mancs.
Red_Rob Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 On the same note, do Weder Bremen always sing YNWA or was that just to wind up the Chavs?
stressederic Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Can't stand either Rangers or Celtic to be honest. Celtic stole our song and have done all they can to hide that fact and invent a history that gives them ownership. f*** em.
Guest BrianF Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 When you see Celtic Park singing our anthem with so much passion and noise compared to us? I feel really sad and confused.
Maldini Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 It reminds me of Westlife singing Frank Sinatra songs.

JohnnyH Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 I have to say Celtic fans sing it brilliently before every game. No they don't. I live in Glasgow and my mate and his Uncle have season tickets. His Uncle is away working alot so I use the ticket on the days or times that Liverpool aren't playing, and as some other poster says, when they are playing teams other then Rangers or Europen nights, the pre match YNWA is the exact same as ours, and half the time they don't even sing it at the end of the game.

"some Celtic fans" have. I never heard anyone seriously claim that it was a Celtic song until that debate in the Knowledge in the Guardian a few years ago. They've enough of a history as a club without YNWA, anyway. (Or did football begin in 1977?)
Tones Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Hate both Celtic and Rangers. Have been told by Celtic fans that they dont always sing YNWA, and dont always sing it well. Though every Celtic fan i know claim it to be their song.

Though every Celtic fan i know claim it to be their song. Every Celtic fan knows that YNWA is Liverpools anthem and i have yet to meet a Celtic fan say that Celtic sung it first.Celtics anthem is" For its a grand old team to play for" but they also like to sing YNWA just as Liverpools fans like to sing TFOA with a few changes to the words.
Cobs Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Celtics anthem is" For its a grand old team to play for" Everton sung it first...
