Wasn't Hyypia seen driving out of Blackburn Rovers training ground a few months ago?

And now it seems Rafa is driving him out of Anfield, 'humour' is for Kev's benefit :)

Hyypia this season has showed more then ever that he is a shadow of his former self.

For his contribution to Liverpool Hyypia should be well remembered as he has been superb for us over the years. He also proved that you dont need to spend massive to get a top player.

Agger over the summer and so far this season as showed that he can step into Samis position and he offers better distribution and has a great shot on him.

I personally wouldnt want Sami to leave as i would like him to finish his career here but if he isnt going to get regular games he may well move on. Pretty sure he wont request a move as hasnt he stated before he likes the challenge of competition for places.

Still unsure about Neill. Must have something about him considering the teams who are interested in him and he can play in any position in defence. Still think the a c*nt but he would be our c*nt.

I would have thought we could get a fee for Sami - he only signed a 3-year contract in August 2005 as well

Don't see the sense in that deal, though i'm in favour of bringing Neil in. he has the bite and nastiness that we lack at the moment, can cover RB and CH and is a very good defender. much better than many on here give him credit for.

We can get Neil on a free at some point. We could sell Sami to a number of Premier League clubs in January i'd have thought. The deal doesn't stack up for me. Wait until the summer if needs be, pick Neil up and sell the Finn.

I'm always wary of writing Hypia off - he's been written off in the past, and come back and had fantastic seasons. I'm all for Neill coming in, but very wary of being without Sami. I'd like to have him here while Agger beds in for a season.

Be a sad day when he does leave, though.

Hyypia a shadow of his former self. That phrase is WAY over used on here. The whole team has been poor and Carra has be way poorer than Hyypia this season. He'll stay and play a bit part I hope ala Hamann. We'll only realise how important Hyypia has been when he hangs up his boots and we spend a couple of years trying to replace him. Players like Agger have no pressure on them really as they know they are back up. It'll be interesting to see how his replacements cope knowing they are now leading Liverpool from the back as the main man.

Absolute rubbish, Carra has been dodgy at time but we have been paralysed by the fact that away from home Xabi has to sit on top of the back 4 when Sami is in defence. If he doesn't then as soon as Carra is dragged out of the centre there is a gaping chasm. Any coincidence that against Boro Xabi was 10yds further forward and we were able to press Boro higher up the pitch.

I love Sami but a Neill - Hyypia swap would do for me, Neill as cover for Carra/Agger/Finnan.

He might not be first choice for much longer, but I wouldn't like us to lose Sami's experience for the rest of the season. Let him go in the summer when Agger's got more experience under his belt.

Aye, we don't concede nearly enough penalties.
