NWR Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Come on, I read so much stuff on here about how rubbish he is. Lets be honest here, who would you have? Young Ronaldo the Manc c*** Harry Kewl Pennant Bolo Zenden ??
Guest Terkop Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Ronnie is a star, he's been sensational this season.
madaboutlfc Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 a fit harry kewell is better than ronaldo..
Maldini Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Its not one of the options, but I'd much rather have Luis Garcia than Ronaldo, and that's a fairer comparison. They both give the ball away too much, but at least Garcia is usually trying to create something when he does it, Ronaldo is just f***ing about. He's a phenomenal prospect, whether he ever becomes the player he could remains to be seen. Also, for some reason he seems a far superior player for Portugal than for United, why is that?
NWR Posted November 22, 2006 Author Posted November 22, 2006 (edited) a fit harry kewell is better than ronaldo.. I suppose its all about opinions, and in mine you are talking b******s. I also think Garcia is rubbish (MOST OF THE TIME) Edited November 22, 2006 by N.W.R.Devil
Ramón Benítez Hernández Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 We didn't pay 12 million quid for Garcia at age 18. He is a good player, but there's only one or two clubs who are stupid enough to pay that much for a teenager.
R A Softlad Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 28 goals in 108 says otherwise, as do his medal haul in 2 and a bit years at Anfield.

NWR Posted November 22, 2006 Author Posted November 22, 2006 Indeed, Flynn as Yoda at Halloween. Takes after his mum then, bar the ears.

Young Ronaldo the Manc c*** Harry Kewl Pennant Bolo Zenden ?? He's a good player - but I seriously wouldn't want him at our club - his histrionics when he doesn't get his own way and the diving just knock me cold
Cunny Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 fantastic player, going to get better as wellyes they did pay £12m for him which was jaw dropping amount at the time but he'd be worth £30m+ nowwhen I see what he does for United and look at Pennant I could weep

sutty Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Ronaldo is a class player and has been in brilliant form this season It's almost as if the world cup s**** did him a favour...
McBain Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Would you rather have Steven Gerrard or John O'Shea? Putting a player in your best position up against players in our worst will always mean yours is better
Bigal Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 I dont know what a fully fit harry kewell looks like.....
Guy_Incognito Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Did anyone see that bit last night where he skinned a couple of players and got into the box one on one with the Celtic keeper? It looked like he'd made his mind up to take a dive, but the Celtic keeper didn't go diving in at his feet and just stood his ground. Placcy didn't know what to do and ended up just letting the ball dribble out of play. It was ace.
LondonLiverpoolFan Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 I'd have him in our team ahead of all of the above and I'm afraid to say that includes Garcia. As much as I dislike the way he behaves on the pitch he is a quality player and one who appears to be improving.
johngibo YPC Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Ronaldo is a class player and has been in brilliant form this season It's almost as if the world cup s**** did him a favour... is right. Player of the season in the prem so far. The rest of you are making yourselves look a bit silly
Bigal Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 i agree, having a great season, but I agree with someone's point that you are picking our worst area with their best. Giggs and Ronaldo have been excellent this season. Our wingers havent fully adapted yet. Like saying in midfield Momo Sissoko or Phil neville (when he played there)
Leo No.8 Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Ronaldo is one of the best wingers in the game at present and would absolutely revolutionise our game. He's a horrible, whinging little turd of a man, but would I have him here? Of course I would. He's so quick and positive with the ball at his feet that even when off form you can just give the ball to him and watch him go. He can be very wasteful in possession at times and selfish, but even when in that mode he stretches the opposition, puts them on the back foot and creates space for others in the final third. He is obviously superb and saying any different is just stupid, but as has been said he's clearly better than anyone we've got out wide so it is a bit of a pointless, crowing initial post from one of our resident Mancs. I would agree that Harry Kewell was as good, if not even better than Ronaldo when he was 19/20 and broke through at Leeds, but that was one hell of a long time ago and although I like him still, he will never be that player again full stop. The achilles injury he suffered when he was still young took a yard of pace from him and at least one full season, and further injuries since have taken another yard again and cost him several seasons more. As for Garcia - he is a great little player to have in your squad; versatile, committed, very talented and scores vital goals. However he's clearly not as devastating as Ronaldo when running with the ball, and that for me is what wingers should really be all about to make the biggest impact of team displays.
cymrococh Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Ronaldo is a class player and has been in brilliant form this season It's almost as if the world cup s**** did him a favour...I agree, he seems to have the right attitude about that stuff. Horrible c*nt like, but great player.
sean Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Anyone hear Giles and Dunphy's quite funny summary of Roanldo, the 'World class player' on RTE last night. Got to say, these guys have punditry to an art. Brilliant stuff. Bottom line is that the fundamentals in UTD are in bits, it's all about to go pear-shaped.
