Andy @ Allerton Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Such a big, great team in a nothing league with their only challengers (Rangers) being woeful and the only other possibly rival (Hearts) being mis-managed to death means that I reckon Scot could manage them to a 10 year reign at the top. What do we reckon?
jon_hall Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 s*** team in a s*** league. Pissed off that Hearts are so f***ed up that no other challenger is there apart from Rabgers occasionally.
aka Dus Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Even Martin O'Neill could lead them out of years of underachievement. QED
Ostrich Man Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 i reckon the more you post the more i realise you havent got a clue about football.
Guest Scot Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 They're a decent team in a bad league. They'd be top half in the premiership and, in time, top 4.

Hard to be sure of something like this, but the ease with which Wigan and others have arrived and managed top half makes me think Celtic would be top half with ease. I don't see any way Wigan would reach a European final, nor the knockout stages of the CL. They looked decent enough against us a few years back, Jon. Their size and fanbase would make them an immediate player in the PL if they joined it. They'd attract players they couldn't get to go to the SPL. You're right though, it'll never happen though I for one wouldn't mind two games a year against the Bhoys.

Guest Scot Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Scot for Manager and top football Agent I'd advocate paying a player's wages up front, then he'd be free
Ostrich Man Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 I think they'd struggle in our league and would be in the bottom half, Rangers would be relegated.theyd be a middle of the league team with their present squad, but if they were getting the revenue of the premier league plus the money generated by support and merchandise etc theyd be a top team within a few years as itd be easier to attract even better players.

I think they'd get on just fine in the Premiership. You're forgetting that there is a lot of crap mediocre teams in the Prem. Even though Sky would never admit it.
Guest Scot Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 no bias there.... Naturally Rangers would be sh*te

I hope it never happens, as if they did come into our league with Rangers the amount of sectarian s**** would make our league worse. And it would probably ensure i stopped going the match. Cue other posters being happy.

I suppose I don't think it would, in the end and you're right - we'd not want that sh*te in the league. Old Firm games are phenomenal though.

No doubt about it, but all we'd here from both sets of old firm would be songs about each other. Like the mancs tonight, within a few minutes i heard the without killing anyone we won it two times song, and then murderers straight after. It'd be like that every single game with those two up there.

jon_hall Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Sure you're going to hell anyway, may as well let them in. It'll be full with us lot, the catholics, the muslims, sikhs, hindu's in etc...
