So do I - its no worse than most other northern towns of its ilk. Just has a lot more pubs. There are a couple of decent places in Halifax, mostly away from the town centre though.

 

He was fighting in "Ziggy's spice house" though, which isn't one of them.

Getting to be a bit cosmopolitan now, Sowerby isn't? Home of the best Pizza's in the area, Dino's.

 

To be fair, its years since I've been out round Halifax so no idea what the curry houses are like these days. Only place I regularly go to is Pajarees the Thai place near Bull Green.

Getting to be a bit cosmopolitan now, Sowerby isn't? Home of the best Pizza's in the area, Dino's.

 

To be fair, its years since I've been out round Halifax so no idea what the curry houses are like these days. Only place I regularly go to is Pajarees the Thai place near Bull Green.

 

I live in the flats near the navigation pub. Very swish!

 

It is indeed, they have even shut the lock keepers down and tried to make it more upmarket!

 

I dont go myself that often, just got for a bevy round the bridge now. Shepherds rest, navy or the moorings for me.

 

1204 is so upmarket in sowerby bridge you have to book like 2 weeks in advance to get a table on a weekend.

 

And you cant knock the village for a curry
