was in the vicinity of Anfield this afternoon, so I thought I would call in and get my Wigan ticket

 

"Can i buy a ticket even though I dont have my fan card on me"

 

"No you cant"

 

"I know the number"

 

"No..ring up and buy it"

 

"why...i am here....what if i call from here"

 

"we would sell it to you over the phone as long as you have the credits and know the card number"

 

"I do have the credits and know the number...why cant you just sell it to me"

 

"policy - ring up now the phones are dead quiet"

Absolute c**** sometimes.

 

In my experiences most of the fellas who work at the windows are far more helpful when you don't have your fancard etc. than the women.

i've had that before and i said i would refuse to move from the window until i completed my call ... she then sold me the tickets. i hate our ticket office.

 

EDIT ... but just remembered she had to post them out and I couldn't take them with me!!!

yeah I remember hearing one about a PTS sale where the lad paid for it over the indow but oin the phone, and they posted it out

I went up once without my fan card cos they hadn't sent it out yet, 2 months after i ordered it. I was just using the number all the other times cos i had a fancard receipt. They made me fill in a postal application form at the window and wait to see if i got one.

Doesn't make a difference, I was rang about Bordeaux tickets while I was outside the ticket office. I picked them up there and then.

I'm 'on the list' with a warning as having never had a fancard and written them a letter, including bank statements etc which they still have, so I have used my PTS letter as confirmation. Not any more though. They say they'd call me, they did but wanted a tenner for a card they'd never sent me, I told them they'd never sent me one. They have said they'll get back to me twice. They never have.
