Jezzman Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 (edited) According to several Spanish papers David Villa just can't get along with Quique Flores and wants to leave Valencia. Juventus are the latest club to be linked with Villa and the offer should be 8 mill. Euro + Zalayeta, an offer Valencia probably won't even consider. At the same time Valencia is taking a good long look at Pepe because they need a long time replacement for the old goalie Canizarez. So if Villa really wants to leave and Valencia wants Pepe, does 1+1 equal 3 ? Any of our Spanish residents who know anything about this? AS: http://www.as.com/articulo/futbol/Carboni/...sdaiftb_21/Tes/Marca: http://www.marca.com/edicion/marca/futbol/...llo/708712.html Quote CARBONI THINKS ABOUT QUEEN FOR THE CAMPAIGN 07-08 The goal of the Liverpool, an option for portera IN THE AGENDA. Pepe Queen is one of the options that Carboni handles to reinforce to the equipment. (AP) 14.11.2006 Amedeo Carboni has paid attention like one of the priorities it next season to file a doorman. While the renovation of Santiago Canizares, parked until the next month of December is solved, with the continuity of Butelle also in the air and without forgetting that Moor counts neither for Quique nor for the club, the sport director or has begun to drill the market in search of a goal. And the best option than handles at the moment is the one of Pepe Queen. Carboni has paid attention to the Madrilenian to prop up portera and to become one lasts competition for Canizares. The main disadvantage would be in the crossing that the organization of Mestalla would have to pay to the Liverpool to take control of the services of Queen, since the set of Rafa Benitez disbursed the summer of 2005 by its draftee 8.7 million euros to the Villarreal. In favor of the Valencia the desire of the guardameta plays to return to Spain, since it does not finish being adapted to England. In addition, this season is receiving many critics and through his head it passes the idea to change of airs and the capital of the Turia would be a superb destiny. It is not either necessary to forget the good relations that both maintain clubs after the crossings of Sissoko and Fernando Morientes in these two last seasons. The Juventus bids up by VillaThe Juventus has paid attention to David Villa to reinforce itself for the next season, in which dello Spor' counts on returning to the Series To According to pointed the Gazzetta yesterday, the supply of the club turinés would be of eight million euros plus the Uruguayan forward Zalayeta, a proposal that, to take shape, nor would study the Valencia, that paid 12 million euros by Asturian the last season to the Zaragoza. In addition, its clause of rescission ascends to 150 million and they already discarded a supply of the Chelsea of 30. Edited November 14, 2006 by Jezzman
Guest HarrowRed Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 I'd take that then get rid of Bellamy and Fowler ( cue stick ) and bring in Owen once the barcode get relegated. Strike force would be Owen, Kuyt, Villa and Crouch
_00_deathscar Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Don't think we could keep all 4 happy....

Figaro Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Why get rid of the best goalkeeper we have had since Bruce G? The Spanish Madrid based sports press are running a destabilisng campaign against Valencia and trying to undermine Quique Sanchez's position. One less rival for Madrid. Marca have long wanted him at Madrid - and that editorial line has not changed.
dodgy1 Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 How can he be the best goalkeeper since Bruce.? He doesn't save anything. !!!!!!

Hodgson for Chelsea Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 We need Alves not Villa. Although both would be very welcome Villa is a fooking amazing player.

Guest wezza Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 we are dreaming here, we couldnt afford Villa methinks! He is pure class though!
CarraLegend Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 dodgy1 said: Yes.Thinking more general goalkeeping. Yeah, those saves in the last minute of both Haifa games, the save from Carlton Cole late on against West Ham, the save from Bentley late on against Blackburn, the one on one he saved against Bordeaux, the save from Suttons header at 3-1 and theres plenty more. As I said Sunday night, a heavy defeat really shows how much absolute scum we have supporting this club who whinge about anything and everything, sad to see but hopefully these types of fans f*** off soon.

Penalty saves apart he hasn't impressed me at all. I cant remember him making any great saves, or coming away from the game thinking he kept us in it with this or that particular save. jon_hall said: He's about 8 years away from his prime. He's just not at the moment.

Kahnee Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 dodgy1 said: Blinkered absolutely blinkered !!!! Nope, you are mistaken. Pepe's young and will make mistakes - but even now his match-saving heroics far outweigh his game-costing howlers. And from what I saw on Sunday, there were quite a few who were ahead of Reina in the blame game Out of interest, who is it who has already matched Clem's clean sheet record?
