eskton Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 A fella i work with tells me he's been watching the reds since the early 60's. I asked him for his opinion of what's happening now. He told me he would prefer to keep his opinions to himself for fear of more abuse. I told him i wasn't about to abuse him, go on tell me, i can take it. It seems that he had voiced his opinions to some other lads, and they had come out with the usual "You don't go the game, so F**k off" I found this very sad, yes he did have strong opinions about the team, and a certain chilien winger, dutch midfielder, and england centre forward not being good enough to wear the shirt, the manager, and why we need stevie more than we need rafa Just didn't think he deserved the abuse, he's entitled to an opinion. Is this what we have sunk to

Is this what we have sunk to everyone's entitled to an opinion, yes. equally people are entitled to hold the opinion that certain other individuals' opinions are total bolllocks. assuming you haven't just invented the above, btw.
dodgy1 Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Not being funny mate but that is not a very sad story.
fred Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 So you're telling me someone who obviously went to the match in the 60s and 70s prefers to keep his opinions to himself for fear of being told to eff off? Pardon my skepticism...
RP Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 If you think that's very sad, then I'm happy for you.
Guest Portly Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 If he thinks Crouch is crap, he obviously hasn't learned anything about football since the 1960's, so he bloody well should f*** off.
johngibo YPC Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Not being funny mate but that is not a very sad story. thats what i thought!!! i thought someone had died when i read the title
Gunga Din Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 that is so sad. people all around the office are giving me funny looks as i am siitting here crying silently at my desk, what a sad sad story. i really hope he finds someone willing to listen to his true feelings
cymrococh Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Have you told the club about this? It's so sad, maybe if Rafa knew he would do the decent thing.
sutty Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 YNWA, that bloke who was told to f*** off in a pub
Andy @ Allerton Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Perhaps we should organise a minutes silence?
Gunga Din Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Perhaps we should organise a minutes silence? a mosiac surely
sutty Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 The picture of the kop holding up a mosaic with the words "For the old bloke who is not here and is sat at home with his mouth shut" Beautiful.
Guy_Incognito Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Puts it all into perspective, doesn't it.

Leo No.8 Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 (edited) So he says we don't need Rafa, plus slated a promising young winger who hasn't been in England five minutes and our top scorer this season (I'll give him Zenden). If you thought that was sad, this will be positively tragic: He sounds like a total c*nt to me. Edited November 14, 2006 by Leo No.8
Jonesy Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 name a stand after him, its the only tribute a statue next shanks, shirely!!
Leo No.8 Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Can I make arrangements to give £5 per month to him by direct debit? It may not seem a lot, but your donation will go towards paying for pyschiatric coaching, which will one day help old bloke gain enough confidence to sneak back into the pub and start criticising the manager and selected players again. Who knows, in time he may even be able to return to the stands and mutter abuse under his breath, although sadly he's damaged goods now and will probably never again jump out of his seat to scream at Garcia and call him an ' effing sh*thouse little Spanish c*nt'. There are many more heart-breaking stories like this, so please give generously or at least give what you can. Your money will mean we'll never stop being reminded just how sh*t Liverpool teams are now compared to the glory days, and that is something we'd all miss desperately...
