Andy @ Allerton Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Is a very good manager. Shouldn't have been knighted, mind. But he is a good manager. To celebrate his twenty years in charge - any stories of him being a decent fella you can think of?
JonShar Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 The day that he beat you up for starting waaaaay too many threads.
Benzo-13 Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 That a load of aul lads around this part of West Dublin had petitions signed in the hundreds to get rid of him in 1990.. 20 glorious years me ar*e. Halcyon Days.
Andy @ Allerton Posted November 6, 2006 Author Posted November 6, 2006 Nah come on lads - I'm sure we can give the man a little bit of credit. 20 Years at an English club is a pretty good record to be fair - and he's a good manager. Let's give him a break for a week - then we can call him a big fat, drunken, whisky nosed c*** once more
JonShar Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Nah come on lads - I'm sure we can give the man a little bit of credit. 20 Years at an English club is a pretty good record to be fair. And while we're at it let's give Bush credit for being able to win a second election. Worst train of thought ever.
Benzo-13 Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Ehh... In that case I ain't got nothing to say..
Guest Terkop Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Fair play to you Andy, I have nothing but respect for the man, same as I have for O'Neill, Rafa Benitez, Sparky. I have no time for the likes of Wenger and Mourinho.

He still won't even talk to the BBC, must be because he isn't bitter about some of the things said about him.
The Hitman Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 He is a good manager, there's no doubt about it.Anybody that argues otherwise is a cretin. He's not as good as Paisley was, though. He can't take defeat gracefully, has always had loads and loads of money to spend, was lucky with quality youngsters coming through the ranks, was lucky with two mis*** shots in the EC final, and has petty squabbles with the media.
Ostrich Man Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 He's got sh*tty pants. how do you know. hes feckin great btw.
Sion Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 (edited) The old fool should have retired when he first said he would. United haven't been the same since, apart from the odd good form patch. Edited November 6, 2006 by Sion
CarraLegend Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Ferguson is a c*** and why is a 60year old man or however old he is always chewing gum - To cover up his alcohol problem or his death breath. Or both.
cymrococh Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 how do you know.He admitted to it when he got done for driving down the hard shoulder.
Guatered Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 jimmy armfield on radio 5 commenting on the match says that one thing about ferguson is that he's always there in his office from 8am every day. there's nobody more committed to the club than him and i think we should respect that. the success he has achieved there is to me much more palatable than chelsea's (and i know he's had plenty of money to spend as well...) for all that ferguson is annoying, he really winds up us liverpool fans not because of the way he acts but because he has made a rival team very successful. he's done a magnificant job there and you can see why rafa has such respect for him. i still hope united lose every week and it's always funny to see ferguson mad after a defeat, but fair play to him for all he's achieved i say. i think ultimately he probably should have retired 3 years ago, but he has done better than i expected and things look a lot better for utd now than 12 months ago. a few injuries could change all that but for the moment utd are playing the best football in the league.
billybunter Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 he's always there in his office from 8am every day. probably because the wife doesnt want him at home
