Leo No.8 Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 My vote would have to go to Khalid Boulharouz. With all that vast wealth at their disposal, Chelsea opt to go out and buy that tw*t. Brilliant - a few more like that Jose and we'll all be back in with a chance. He's slow, clumsy and looks like one of the in between versions on those charts which show man evolving from apes. He looks like he should be wielding a club and chasing sabre tooth tigers. Keane dumping him on his a*** in the run-up to the second Spurs goal was absolutely hilarious yesterday. 'Khalid the cannibal' - more like 'Khalid the c*nt'. Tevez and Maschareno would have to get a mention as well - managed to make West Ham crap on their arrival, who then promptly win a couple when they leave them out again. The funny thing is they're both brilliant footballers, just shows signing BIg NAmeZ doesn't always work...
Cobs Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 By a distanceand in any season. Anyone listen to Fighting Talk on saturday morning? Anelka compared to an exercise bike You buy it with the best of intentions before realising very shortly it was a mistake, you wont use it and leave it in the garage before trying to offload it on the cheap to some other eejit (or words to that effect)
Falconhoof Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Boulharouz has been decent so far apart from last nights game against Spurs. Anelka. Possibly Obafemi Martins, mainly because of the absurd claim that he was their main target all along and they never wanted Kuyt.
Guest The Defender Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 For someone who hasn't looked anything like the player he is... sheva by a mile.
Leo No.8 Posted November 6, 2006 Author Posted November 6, 2006 Boulharouz has been decent so far apart from last nights game against Spurs. Anelka. Possibly Obafemi Martins, mainly because of the absurd claim that he was their main target all along and they never wanted Kuyt. Every time I've seen Boulharouz (3 or 4 times) he's looked awful. Rafa played Gerrard out of position just so he'd be up against the lumbering oaf, but unfortunately he missed a couple of good chances after making a fool of him. As for Martins, Glenn Roeder says 'he always wanted the pace' rather than Kuyt. Right Glenn, you keep telling yourself that.
Benitez Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Boulharouz never looks decent at right back. Is he a better central defender or summet? Cos he's an awful right back.
Stevie H Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 anelka. corradi, martins, woodgate and berbatov close behind.
Falconhoof Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 I don't think Bouhlarouz is awful. I think this is the same sort of wishful thinking that had Vidic down as the worst defender in the world after a bad game.
Guest Anders Honoré Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Martins, Anelka and sheva do look like they outstanding candidates. Boulharouz looks worse when you consider he is Gallas' replacement though.
Cunny Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 forum lore though, we can pass jusgement after watching a couple of minutes of highlights on other teams' players. the stick Vidic got on here was frankly laughableit he'd been in an LFC shirt he'd be lauded as a great Rafa buy. I'm not saying Boulahrouz is Beckanbauer but he's far from s***.Granted he was poor yesterday.Ferriera - now there's s**** and expensive s**** at that.
Guest Sabre Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Boulahrouz is a c**k but he is a much better centre back than a right back. Anyone that puts the 9 on their shirt when they're a defender deserves a t***ting.
Leo No.8 Posted November 6, 2006 Author Posted November 6, 2006 (edited) Some people seem to be assuming I've only seen a few highlights of Boulharouz, when I've seen him play for both Chelsea and Holland a good number of times. I thought he looked like a donkey in The World Cup in all honesty - I was amazed when they signed him in the first place and nothing I've seen from him so far contradicts that view. He's passable at centre-half where he doesn't get so exposed but he won't often play there at Chelsea with the berths being occupied by the excellent Carvalho and Terry, neither of whom need much resting. At right-back his lack of pace makes him beatable in embarrassingly easy fashion therefore a shocking choice of buy with Abramovic's billions to call upon. Edited November 6, 2006 by Leo No.8
Spike Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 I would say Shevchenko at £35m but his arrival has certainly had some value in how it's freed up drogba more
Benitez Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 forum lore though, we can pass jusgement after watching a couple of minutes of highlights on other teams' players. speak for yourself. I'm going on the games I've seen him play at right back, which is where he seems to play for Chelsea. Maybe he's a better centre back eh.
jimmylibel Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 anelka. corradi, martins, woodgate and berbatov close behind. Think Berbatov has done alright to be honest. Seems to be forging a good partnership with Keane and has a few goals to his name already. Baptista anyone?

Ostrich Man Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 i'm talking more about Vidic than Boulahrouzevra seems to be settling down a bit also....
Kahnee Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 I've gone and mockered us haven't I? Can we stone you to death now? I'm busy Sunday evening
McBain Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Berbatov's been excellent when he's played. He's just a bit injury prone
