Sion Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 Heard today some BS mate mouthing off that they're about to employ a firm to build it (the same ones that built st mary's) it'll be 55k cap and cost less than £70m. But it'll still be in Kirkby If this is true they'll have it up before ours. But it'll still be in Kirkby Plus i'd like to see them try to fill a 55k stadium every week, especially being so out of Liverpool. Kirkby
Guest Kev Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 At least the police helicopter will not have to travel far after the game.
Tosh Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 Wembley will be finished before we finish our stadium.
Nebraska Red Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 the Atlantic Tunnel between Liverpool and New York could be finished before we get our stadium.
_00_deathscar Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Forget that....man will have moved onto other planets before we finish our stadium.

Kirkby Christ - I'm from Kirkby and that's about as Red a town as there is! As our academy occupies the best bit of open, unpolluted land in the place, where are they going to build exactly - in Kirkby but actually not in Kirkby? On the Maghull road? Half way to Ormskirk? Maybe they can knock down Towerhill and build there - good luck! They'll turn up for work to find all the diggers on bricks and the caterpillar tracks missing. Forget that....man will have moved onto other planets before we finish our stadium.Don't be silly. Ours is timetabled to be ready for the start of the 2009 season. You couldn't build a stadium there the site is tiny - it's on a roundabout and you'd be lucky to build one big enough to get 55 in let alone 55,000...oh, hang on... So it's in Kirkby then? BTW - What the hell is a stadium? Is Anfield a stadium? Is it f***!What is it then, a bus station? You silly sod
