Huyton_Red Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Never rated the little f'cker to be honest, but even I cant let the blatantly obvious pass me by A fanstastic little player and the main reason the mancs are not the shambles they where last season Always wanted to hate the ginger c*** and did my best to compare him to david platt, everyone always talks about giggs, keane and beckham and he never gets a menton Only consolation is he will be playing for Bury in a couple of years the arl b'stard
Ostrich Man Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 (edited) Oldham actually. and you never rated him.....but hes a fantastic little player. watch that s*** on your neck mate. Edited November 3, 2006 by Ostrich Man
Guest Anders Honoré Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 It took some time before I saw what the fuzz was about him. He's a fantastic player though. Second only to bergkamp as the best creative player in the league in the last ten years.
AE Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 It took some time before I saw what the fuzz was about him. He's a fantastic player though. Second only to bergkamp as the best creative player in the league in the last ten years. I can remember 10/12 years ago when he first came on to the scene wanting him at Anfield playing with Robbiw, those two could have been awsome together. Manc ****
stressederic Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Very good player, probably still a touch under rated and forgotten in favour of Giggs etc.
Rimbeux Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Best one touch player in the premiership has been for years, just a fantastic touch and strike of the ball.
Bootle Buck Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 (edited) He's the only Manc I would honestly say I wish he'd have of played for us. I find the lad very refreshing from the rest of today's players. He plays the game gets changed and goes home to his family. He still supports his boyhood club and takes his lad every opportunity he has(no prawn sarvies for young Scholes). You never hear anything negative about the lad yet he performs week in week out. As you can see I have a lot of time for him. Edited November 3, 2006 by Bootle Buck
Guest Anders Honoré Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 I'd happily have taken Giggs, Solskjaer, Irwin and Keane from that lot aside from Scholes.
Romario Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Jesus what a manc love in. A few years ago he was the invisible man. Now he's lord ginger b******s the footballing lord of all who wears studs.....PHHHLEASE......
Cam Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 Still think he'd have been better being played as a split striker, could have been Beardsley-like.
Maldini Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 Still think he'd have been better being played as a split striker, could have been Beardsley-like.Nah, he's similar to Gerrard in that he's better deep. I think it's because they're better at timing their runs from deep and also because they're better getting the ball when facing the opposition goal than receiving it with their backs to goal. He played there when Veron went to United and looked a shadow of himself.
Guest Terkop Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 Oh he'll be around for a few more years yet, never been the sort of player with tremendous pace, his football brain will never die. I can see him outpassing midfields till hes 40.
Guest Anders Honoré Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Oh he'll be around for a few more years yet, never been the sort of player with tremendous pace, his football brain will never die. I can see him outpassing midfields till hes 40. he has asthma doesn't he?
fyds Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Oh he'll be around for a few more years yet, never been the sort of player with tremendous pace, his football brain will never die. I can see him outpassing midfields till hes 40.His medical state is such his body won't let him go on that much longer, let alone to 40. He has a creeping form of bronchiectasis, which allthough treatable, is mildly degenerative. OK for most people, but pretty unhelpful for an aging footballer.

Last weeks interview with him was the first I have ever heard.
