A Liverpool X1 will take on Marine AFC in a friendly fixture at the Arriva Stadium, College Road, Crosby on Tuesday 28th November, 2006.

The game honours the commitment made to Marine following our withdrawal from last season?s Liverpool Senior Cup competition when we were scheduled to play the ?Mariners? at the semi-final stage.

Never been to Marine so half tempted to go.

seen many liverpool reserve teams there in the senior cup, remember one game kept getting postponed cause of the fog rolling in from the river.........Paul Walsh not sure what to do every time us scallies joined in with the warm ups

may just go

Might just roll up for that - although there's a 1st team match the night after, isn't there - Portsmouth? - so might need a pass out. :(

Decent chippy next door but one as well - except it's always full at 5 past 9 on 'Slimmers World' club night

Worst Chippy in Liverpool.

and the best one, according to the owner, is opposite

once went there and got a tearful yet psycopathic rant from him about how his fries are pukka and all other fries in Liverpool should be called 's***s'

he was wondering why his trade was not that great

anyway Marine: could not be nearer - College Rd is off my Rd and the pub next door to the ground is a nice boozer, the kind that Andy would approve of

George and Angelas is the best chippy on College Road Fact

The bug is alright for a pint, think Andy may prefer the Volley more

and Jon..............yep will be an away game for me that

maybe but it's too far

the Bug is unpretentious enough for Andy I'd say and we've got the Brook in my Rd too

and by all means go in to the chippy next to George and Angela's and tell him what you think

he'll take a meat cleaver to you!

I like The Bug, good solid boozer.

The Volley is a good 20/25 minute walk away from the ground.

Went to Marine last season after one of our 12:45 kick offs.

It was bitterly cold and throwing it down. We lasted 30 minutes before heading to the warmth of The Bug. :drink:

Yep it was on the Marine site. Going to some room or something. Not sure whether it will be dragged out for the public though. Anyway i saw it yesterday.
