Didn't realise just how little respect I had for him and his legacy now. It was the fact that I was asked 12 consecutive rather searching questions that did the trick. I seemed to get stronger and stronger with regard to my dismissal of his record etc as I went on.

Not claiming any discoveries here except that perhaps I have not had the experience of consecutive yet distinct questions for some time. Usually when a topic like Blair arises it is one main question and then a lot of closely related follow ups.

When they had stopped recording I was waxing lyrical about the 2012 Olympics being an impending financial disaster that will split the Labour Party and bring down his (Blair's) immediate successor.

Comic book stuff of course, but I enjoyed my 15 minutes as a pundit. Waiting to see it in print now.
