Andy @ Allerton Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Have these a******s ever been to Villa park - spot the fan..
Benitez Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 and Villa fans singing that is different how to any other team's fans singing it? Newcastle fans sing it, Spurs fans sign it, 2 sets of s***ter fans you'd be hard pushed to find. EVERY team does it (including Liverpool fans), it's one of the most tedious, embarrassing 'chants' around.
chrisbonnie Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 well i tell you one thing, they where the only ones i heard on radio commentary yesterday
Andy @ Allerton Posted October 29, 2006 Author Posted October 29, 2006 well i tell you one thing, they where the only ones i heard on radio commentary yesterday Should have gone to the match - then you could have heard ours

DaveLFC Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 or "shall we sing a song fo you?" Well, no as you'd sing about villa. Idiots.
Scally Bob Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 or "shall we sing a song fo you?" Well, no as you'd sing about villa. Idiots.More likely they'd sing about Birmingham City. These highlight-headed morons are the Munsters of the Midlands. No doubt it'll be back to 29,000 now they got beat.
Ste M Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 (edited) "You're support is f***ing s***" Better than the team being s***, eh? Edited October 29, 2006 by Ste M
guernseygareth Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 i wonder if anyone knows where the pitchside microphones are - seem to hear lots more of away fans via tv or wireless. or has home support really gone all wooly and prawn-esque?
Koller49 Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 (edited) Fair play to them, at least they sang something. 3-1 up and they were still singing more than us. There wasnt even a noticable YNWA yesterday in the last few minutes of the game. Our home support at your average weekend afternoon prem game is just embarrassing now. It's a shame because away from home and at Cup/European games our support is f***ing quality. I dunno why people bother going to the match and then sit there in silence apart from telling you to sit down every now and again... Just watch it at home, you'd get a better view on the telly anyway, and wouldn't be annoyed by the people who actually try and create some sort of atmosphere so the away fans don't just rip the piss outta us week in week out. It's not as bad if your in the Kop, but I've been in MX for most of our league homes this year. Should have a day of window sales before it goes on Phone/Internet... Phone and Internet sale seats just seem to attract a bunch of first timers who are only going to take a pic of themselves holding a scarf in front of the pitch instead of actually supporting the team. Its s**** but was a tiny bit better yesterday, Rafa's song was going a few times and Dirks song was going for ages
Koller49 Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Its s**** but was a tiny bit better yesterday, Rafa's song was going a few times and Dirks song was going for ages Rafa song never really got properly going though, despite about 6 attempts.. Kuyt song was good... but that was about it. I thought it was awful yesterday to be honest, worst this season from where I was.

Yeah suppose it depends where you are in the ground. I was right next to the villa fans - and only a handful of the people around me would join in with anything. A Steward also threatened to chuck me out for banging the back of the Main Stand to try and get some sort of atmosphere going. People seem hell bent on sucking any kind of atmosphere out of the game. Kop_90 Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Is it not the case that any group of away fans will find it much easier to get behind the team due to the fact that travelling fans are the hard core support for most teams. Gather a couple of thousand fans together and they should be able to outsing most home fans for the majority of a game. Our away support outsings the home fans at most games and we must expect it ourselves sometimes. The atmosphere at Anfield has never been the same since the introduction of all seater stadiums and none of us want to go back to that. Unless we introduce a seating policy allowing those who want to sing to be seated in the centre of the Kop, Again a couple of thousand fans in the centre would get the rest of the crowd going and create a cracking atmosphere. For those old enough to remember, just like the days of the standing Kop when all the singing started from one point behind the goal. Something for the club to consider when the new stadium up and running.
Sion Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 What's the Dirk song? Please tell me it's not that dreadful kuyt fever
Jarg Armani Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 singing isn't at all cool. very wooly behaviour if you ask me. embarassing.
IgPig Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 (edited) From where I was yesterday it was about as good as its been for a league game this season. Still not great though. And to the halfwit 20 stone yorkshire bird behind me who shouted "Getartafit" everytime Vill went in our half, f*** OFF. Edited October 29, 2006 by Post Kuytal Glow
Guest Portly Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 If we are winning, we elderly chaps in the Main Stand with the Thermos flasks have been known to respond with "Your team is f***ing s***!" This is quite a tart response, in playground terms. It didn't happen on Saturday though, for some reason.
Red_Polo Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 Big respect to whoever was in 202 they managed to have the Rafa/Xabi/Garcia/Reina song going for the best part of an hour!
