2) My Story So Far by Wayne Rooney: 36,973

I was wondering who would buy Ashley Coles. Arsenal fans wouldn't, and Chelsea fans prob wouldn't either. INgerland fans would presumably rather buy Gerrard or Lampard.

This answers it, no one bought it

Gerrard "I'm the f*ckin man"

Rooney "Scoring goals, nailing Grannies"

Lampard "Deflections on a career in football"

Rio "I had a really good title for this but i forgot what it was"

Ashley Cole "Sex, Lies and Mobile phone videos"

Paul McGrath's looks good.

That does look good, even if it makes for some uncomfortable reading. Really hope the guy can beat the bottle. What a fantastic player he was; interesting that quote from the journo saying he was "by far" the most likeable and thoughtful footballer he'd ever met.

cole got a 250k advance from the publisher and 125k for the serialisation in the times. or, about 4 weeks' wages for all that ridiculous s*** and the destruction of his reputation.

He should sue himself for libel.

Show's there is big money in it when it works though. Gerrard's book has made the publisher a good whack.

The only half-decent one I've read was Maradona's latest - no stranger to controversy that one.

I'm trying to get hold of David McVey's 'Steak Diana Ross'. Anyone got it or read it? Amazon are out. :(

Interesting figures. I would guess that alot of Liverpool fans have made Gerrard's the most sold, when its written more for England fans judging by the JT, Lamps, Neville and Wazza w**kathon in the book.

Rooney's would have been bought more by England fans, as he's the boy wonder. Lampard's would have been bought by the rent boys (outnumbered 3-1 by Gerrard, like their fans were in the charity shield) and no-one gives a f*ck about Rio and Ashley Cole.

Interesting that out of those five, the one who's waited longest since he really became a big name has sold the most. And also someone who's had a genuinely interesting career and done loads. Not that I'm that bopthered about reading it, like.

Cole has alienated fans with his move as has Rooney - and Ferdinand to a lesser extent.

Also must remember that most Ingerlund fans can't read anyway.

He's my all time favourite Irish footballer. That performance against Italy in 94 stands as one of the greatest i have ever seen. Given that he is probably as good a defender as has played in the English game in the last 25 years, what could he have been if he had managed to stay sober. If he'd come to Liverpool in 89 as he wanted we would have won a couple more league titles.

A guy i know was asked to 'mind' him before a St' Paddy's day parade. He said the was as decent a man as you could expect to meet but there was something intensely sad about him. He'd to feed him 6 cans of harp at 8am in the morning to get him into a fit enough state to lead the parade.

Did it really take you two days to come up with that question? Or is your obsession lessoning to the degree you've only just clocked a Manc-related post?
