MikeD Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 ...puts him on a par with Lampard and Terry, but 30K behind Ballack and Shevchenko, the English boys are looking for parity with the top earners next summer. so that's over half a million a week on just five players. link

Cech said something about Roman sitting in the corner lurking at the players It's a year or two ago I think...

Yep, sure looks like it, Peter.
yellow jumper Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 Cech said something about Roman sitting in the corner lurking at the players It's a year or two ago I think... is that before or after mourinho makes youth players dance naked in front of the first team?
Kahnee Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 If the salary cap scheme is ever introduced, they're fecked
M4TTA Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 Is it me or do Chelsea actually get something out of making how much their players earn a week / month etc?? you dont see many clubs even reporting how much their players are on.Is this some kind of statement to other prespective players to show how much the could be on if they join them?? just wondering..
cymrococh Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 I thought Lampard got parity in his last contract?
Ramón Benítez Hernández Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 (edited) 100k a week for Duane Dibley. F*ck that. Edited October 26, 2006 by AussieRED
vish Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 anyone still want to point out the fact that we got Cisse for nearly half the price. Didn't we say he was twice the player? :S
wacko Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 That's what they'd likely get if they went anywhere else, anyway.
Alonso Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 Apparently Drogba was offered to Southampton for £2.5m the year before he went to Chelsea. They said no to £2.5m but offered £2m, Marseille rejected it and a year later made 10 times more on him!!!!

jon_hall Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 For about £4.5 million or something close to that.
Cobs Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 in one of the papers today that Spurs turned down the opportunity to sign Dennis Bergkamp from Inter and bought Chris Armstrong instead
jimmylibel Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 For about £4.5 million or something close to that. Yep, signed for Marseille for ?6 million in 2003 (summer before Chelsea signed him) according to this. www.didierdrogba.com
cochyn Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 Fair play to him for taking those tacky basts to the cleaners. What's the betting he stops scoring as soon as the ink's dry?

Rimbeux Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 he's a very important player for them, I'm struggling to think of another player who could play as he does for them, maybe Kuyt. I've been guillty of dismissing him as no better than James Beattie when they got him, but he's certainly made himself indespennsible, seeing off 'better' players.
stressederic Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 in one of the papers today that Spurs turned down the opportunity to sign Dennis Bergkamp from Inter and bought Chris Armstrong instead Thats essentially the definition of Spurs really.
Maldini Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Any word on how his injury from yesterday is?
