Guest mick the baker Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Steven Gerrard will be driven out of Anfield if Rafa Benitez continues to play him out of position, according to former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp. (Daily Star, Express, cant get anymore info, but its all starting to get a bit o.t. t.
Maldini Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Strange one that, because he was saying the complete opposite just a few weeks ago.
Chili Palmer Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Steven Gerrard will be driven out of Anfield if Rafa Benitez continues to play him out of position, according to former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp. (Daily Star, Express, cant get anymore info, but its all starting to get a bit o.t. t. The impression I get is that Gerrard actually stats to believe what is in the press, I mean, He was fine with playing on the right last season, then a bandwagon starts about playing in the middle and he looks like he doesn't want to do it anymore. He should simply do what he is told.
Guest mick the baker Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Playing for liverpool fc is enough in my book, whatever posistion you play in.
Ronnie Whelan Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Playing for liverpool fc is enough in my book, whatever posistion you play in. Thats all well and good from my and probably your perspective. I will never play for Liverpool FC and i assume at this stage you wont either. When you are playing week in week out you want to perform as best you can. Perhaps SG feels he is being restricted in playing at RM? This is not necessarily my opinion, just asking the question.
StevieC Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 redknapp is a two-bob media whore. Aye. Rent a quote who has done about as much in football to justify being paid for his opinion as that bitter jock loudmouth he sits next too.
D.Boon Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Redknapp can go and f4ck off. Sick of seeing his face on the telly every, single game. w*****.
Sion Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 (edited) The quote should be If Gerrard keeps playing this s**** for £100k a week, Rafa and the board will flog him for £40m. Edited October 23, 2006 by Sion
Andythered Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Rather play out of position than be a boring, one dimensional player who was f***ing injured for years. c***.
Guest wezza Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Why is everyone on one on here today? He is just doing his job and commenting on his own thoughts. If thats what he beleives then thats fine.Think we have just all got the raving hump because of our poor form, we need to chill out a bit!Gerrard is not the only one playing crap, they all are!!
Bootle Buck Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 It's funny how Stevie has become a media icon. They all love him and seem really concerned that he has lowered himself to play for Liverpool FC. Any opportunity to drive a wedge between him and the club they take. If it was any other Liverpool players they would be saying he was crap and playing badly. However, they are too concerned with the "Rafa playing him out of position" stigma. They don't care as a much when he plays there for England.
muleskinner Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 I imagine Redknapp has spoken to Gerrard about this and he won't be saying it just for the controversy it may or may not cause.
anny road Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 I imagine Redknapp has spoken to Gerrard about this and he won't be saying it just for the controversy it may or may not cause. will he b****x...he is jumping on a band wagon
Sion Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 (edited) Redknapp's to busy either 1) looking in the mirror or 2) Anally pleasing Andy Gray or Richard Keys to talk to Gerrard He's become a Sky sports whore, he's on every match Edited October 23, 2006 by Sion
muleskinner Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 will he b****x...he is jumping on a band wagon You may be right, but I can't help but think that Redknapp may have something of an inside track on this. They are supposed to be friends from what I have heard and read. He's ben around enough of our games this season thanks to Sky and I'm pretty sure the subject has been raised.
Zoob Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Rotation, Benitez doesn't know his best 11, Zonal marking, Gerrard on the right... rinse and repeat... yada yada, blah blah.... Punditry is so pointless and cliched these days, I'm surprised anyone really pays any attention to it...
Swipe Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Redknapp is a t***. He's the worst pundit i've ever seen. He even tries to interview his fellow guests. As has already been said, Sky are really stretching it if they think he's an expert at anything. Every f***ing week he's on! I agree with Anny Road. Andy Gray seems to be trying to stir it up every time we play. Keys sets it up and Gray jumps right in. Shame on Redknapp for going along with it.

Internationinteroperability Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 (edited) The English Media have really become a persistent pain in the f***ing a***! When will the f*****s give it a rest?! Edited October 23, 2006 by Paranama

Fair point. But to have Redknapp on the CL coverage - beside genuine European greats like Gullit and Souness is stretching it a bit. Redknapp just really irritates me. Listening to him speak about Chelsea and his t*** of a cousin is particularly irksome. P.s - Did you hear Merson say yesterday that the Reading fans should have applauded Arsenal at half time and they should be honoured to have been in the presence of such greatness?? Bookie-bothering idiot. Sky's list of pundits and co-commentators is gettign increasingly poor and desperate. Edited October 23, 2006 by Swipe

Bookie-bothering idiot. Sky's list of pundits and co-commentators is gettign increasingly poor and desperate. Sky's pundits are generally a poor bunch. Ex-prem players that were notorious rather than successful. What the hell did Tony Gale or Tony Cottee ever do? Pair of nonces. As for Marwood and Alan Smith.. Morons.
Swipe Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 The inclusion of Tony Gale and Marwood takes me to the cleaners. Pair of useless clowns.
floyd Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 If anyone saw Redknapp on Sky a few weeks ago, it was fvckin embarrassing. Keane was on, and Redknapp with so far up his ar5e, his little tootsies were the only thing visible, as his mooted cries of Roy & Scholesy were the greatest were heard through Roy's tummy..
