Nebraska Red Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 19:30 AC Milan - Palermo 20:00 Real Madrid - Barcelona 20:00 Marseille - Lyon The middle one could be a cracker and the last one a bloodbath.
Sion Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Would have loved to watch the middle one, but our loss has put me on the anti-football train to drunks-ville.
stressederic Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Why does Roberto Carlos take freekicks? He's s*** at them. Someone appears to have ressurected the old Raul.
stressederic Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 How the f*** did Gudjohnsen miss that. Stunning football by Messi.
Chili Palmer Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Why does Roberto Carlos take freekicks? He's s*** at them. Someone appears to have ressurected the old Raul. Thank god we didn't buy him in the summer

Guest Anders Honoré Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 How the f*** did Gudjohnsen miss that. Stunning football by Messi. that was amazing by messi. too bad they din't show in replay.
stressederic Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 that was amazing by messi. too bad they din't show in replay. Absolutely. I haven't the foggiest idea how he did it. Emerson should be off.
stressederic Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 2-0 Van Nistelrooy. Great counter attack.
DazzlaJ Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 2-0 Van Nistelrooy. Great counter attack. Keeper s*** it
stressederic Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Keeper s*** it Absolutely. Robinho's cross did Van Nistelrooy no favours, i thought he'd wasted the opportunity at first.
stressederic Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Full time, Real win it. Expect them to lose their next game then.
Ombudsam Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 gudjohnsson was embarrassing. i love deco as a player but he stunk the place out as did ronny. Barca gave up after real's second despite playing well until then
Guest Anders Honoré Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 (edited) Absolutely. I haven't the foggiest idea how he did it. me neither. He just moved a bit to the left and then he was past them. Would really have liked to see that one again. takes some cheek to pull of something like that. oh yeah and gudjohnson was terrible. Really should have scored. Too bad Barca already have too many shortarses in the side or Saviola might have a real shot at a barca career again. Edited October 22, 2006 by Anders Honoré
Tosh Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Good 2 Evil 0 Nice You calling the Mancs "good"?
Guest Anders Honoré Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Real Madrid are the epitomy of evil in football, john. what happened to your darth vader avatar, btw?
Koogan Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 What was the point in Goofy's 'slow-the-game-down-when-in-possession-of-the-ball' tactic? Did he invite them to foul him just to get those freekicks or what? Cause whenever he received the ball in the last third he seemed to dwell on it for ages (it seemed) and all the runs the other players made were useless. And only one of the 3-4 freekick he took caused any problems. And Eidur was baaaad. The game also showed just how important the opening goal is. Rafa should take note...

Cause whenever he received the ball in the last third he seemed to dwell on it for ages (it seemed) and all the runs the other players made were useless. He did the same against Chelsea. A real detriment to the team when he plays like that. It looks a bit too much like buying into the 'I am genius, I am allowed to take my time to do great things'. Rivaldo had the the same tendency to hug the ball.
