Guest Ant Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 He is having one hell of a season and was impressive last seaosn as well, his tackling seems spot on and reminds me of Riise but with two feet, I know its too early to judge but he seems to posses more then what we have seen of Aurellio this season and I do not rate Warnock at all If we have the funds I couldn't think of a better player we could need in that LB position that we could buy in January, a young up coming strong and versitile player is what we are lacking in the LB position Thoughts?
Stevie H Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 (edited) he had a cracking season last term too and would be a really good signing for us. he'd probably cost a bit though. Edited October 22, 2006 by Stevie H
Coyler Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Looks like a player all right. If he wasn't English he might be worth what he would eventually cost.

Spion kop Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 baines is average, just because he runs forward a bit doesn't turn him into cafu
Guest Anders Honoré Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 a bit too soon to pass judgement on aurelio for now, imo. re-evaluate in the summer.
lfc003 Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 this is what happens when people buy into the media hype, don't get me wrong i think he'll be a decent player but he's not in the same league as Riise.

I don't see him as a replacement for Riise, Riise is a midfielder not a defender. If we had Baines who I believe is a pacy LB and a tough tackler would be a good signing, Granted Judgement is still out on Fabio, I don't think Warnock will make it and Riise for me is a Midfielder he is good in defense but not as good as he is in Midfield.

Ste M Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 He's a blue isn't he? Nah, he'a Red. I remember his interview in the 'Boy's A Bit Special' section of Four Four Two.

Maldini Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Fair enough. Kind of annoying that the two best products from our youth system over the last 7 or 8 years are Leighton Baines and Kevin Nolan isn't it.
_00_deathscar Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Don't forget John "The Next Steven Gerrard" Welsh.
jimmylibel Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Well on the basis of those FourFourTwo interviews I think we're out of the running for Micah Richards
