anfieldgaz Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 One of only 2 plus points from tonight was Bellamy and Hyypia. Ok 3 then .......................3 points, but a shocking performance from the team as a whole though.
Barnesy_10 Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 his work rate and effort really impress meyup, just needs to stay onside more often
Bigal Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 wouldnt say that missing people with injury, I would take 3 points,

anfieldgaz Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 alright mate, but ffs people have been saying the difference between us and Chelsea is that they win without playing well sometimes you just have to win,,,and tonight was one of them As i say both Bellamy and Hyypia played well. Yes ill take the 3 points but it still was a shocking display. Thats all i am saying. But this has been the norm for the last few weeks now (not just this game, as most teams are allowed an "off" night)................the style of play we need to improve and quick.
Romario Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 erm no nextHe's no improvement on Baros but for all our sakes I hope he starts scoring soon although I don't know if he's ever scored as many as 15 a season.
Fagan Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 He's no improvement on Baros but a shocking performance from the team as a whole though. how can you say that after an away win in the champions league? it was a poor game, but by no means a shocking perfrmance, not even a bad performance. in fact it was nothing other than a good performance. any away win in the CL is a good performance, unless you score through fluke
Earl Hafler Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 At least Baros won us some throw ins. how can you say that after an away win in the champions league? it was a poor game, but by no means a shocking perfrmance, not even a bad performance. in fact it was nothing other than a good performance. any away win in the CL is a good performance, unless you score through fluke It was a good result, not a good performance.

At least Baros won us some throw ins.It was a good result, not a good performance. agree, but not about Baros. well either way, to call it a shocking performance, is, well...shocking Ok so please tell me what got u off your seat tonight then. We totelly lacked any real guile and coudnt string 2 passes together still looked dogey at the back. As people have said good result but not a good performance which we cant ignore. Jimi Rojo Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 No way on god's green earth is he an improvement on Baros. But I like him anyway. Kuyt however is class.

We totelly lacked any real guile and coudnt string 2 passes together still looked dogey at the back. As people have said good result but not a good performance which we cant ignore. i'll concede it argable it wasnt a good performance but it was by no stretch of the imagination a shocking performance. we controlled most of the game, we looked alittle uncertain at the back, our passing in midfield could have been better. but a shocking performance is one where we are all over the shop, being dominated and losing a game none of which happened, and we were away from home, in the champions league shocking? not having that
anny road Posted October 18, 2006 Author Posted October 18, 2006 you know this is the reason why I have stayed away from the football forum this season we lose and play well...people moanwe lose and play s***...people moanwe win and play s***...people moanwe win and play weel...people will still f***ing moan three points is three points and we are not playing well.....we got a result and thats all that matters.... As for Bellamy...he is working hard, his attitude is great.......he will come good..... Baros doesnt play for us anymore Bye
Hassony Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Oh come on .............it was awfull, ok yes we won but god they were worse than us, this team hasn't won their last 10 CL games so lets be realistic here.agree, but not about Baros.Ok so please tell me what got u off your seat tonight then. We totelly lacked any real guile and coudnt string 2 passes together still looked dogey at the back. As people have said good result but not a good performance which we cant ignore. totally agree mate..The game was dull, some terrible passing, even the simple passes were being given away. We were up against a poor side who gave us alot to worry about in the last 10 minutes. We get caught offside unnecessarily. Bellamy is like Cisse, very quick, but still manages to get caught. He can allow to give the other player a headstart hes that quick..Hope Garcia starts on Sunday, along with Sissoko and I hope to god that Zenden doesn't start. 3 comfortable away points in europe = good performance yup... true...we weren't comfortable though.
anny road Posted October 18, 2006 Author Posted October 18, 2006 this was meant to be a thread applasding Bellamy for working hard and praising him for his effort when it isnt going for him but the g*******s have taken it over i'll leave you to it
Hassony Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 yup... true...we weren't comfortable though.we were very comfortable
Fagan Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 cant understand why people think baros is on the same par as bellamy. have you not been watching the premiership for the last 5 years? in terms of goals per season there may not be much difference, but other than that they are miles apart. and dont tell me they are only judged on goals. bellamy wasnt just bought for goals, baros was. bellamy can actually run with the ball at his feet somewhere other than the corner flag, and he can do it with his head up and he actually passes the ball, and he also has some genuine pace about him. and he looks like he realy cares
Knox_Harrington Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Ok so please tell me what got u off your seat tonight then.A goal. But you know what? f*** right off if all you give a s*** about is getting off your seat. You know why? Because we've got trophies to win and that mentality simply doesn't win trophies. Went away from home in Europe - got the basics right, defended well, snuck a goal, held the lead. That's what won European Cups in 1977, 1978, 1981, 1984 and 2005 for this club. And arguably won European Cups for almost every team since the trophy was instituted. But AnfieldGaz never got up out of his seat so it's not good enough....

Baros doesnt play for us anymore Bye You mean that people cant disagree with you and make thier own points of view (thats what the forums are for) All im trying to say was yes we won but the performance was not good, against a team who are not good at all, and havent won in thier last 10 CL games. And we made it hard work and again living dangerously in the last 5/10 mins.
