oran Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 arsenal have joined newcastle and the scum in their chase for jan klaas huntelar.it seems he will be available for 10 mil and will leave ajax in january.i have to say i think he is worth much more then that, maybe we can try and get him,he is a smart player, with great goalscoring sense.
Leo No.8 Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Huntelaar is a fantastic young striker but theres absolutely no chance they'll let him go for £10m. I'd expect them to want double that to even consider selling...
CaptainXabi Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 We need to get in on this, but of course we won't.
CarraLegend Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 We need to get in on this, but of course we won't. If you give our board in the region of £15m - £20m and tell them the money has to go on Huntelaar im sure they'd do it. If we had that sort of money anyway other area's need strengthing before striking positions especially as we've just spent £16m on strikers anyway.
steviegw Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 More Strikers??? Yeah, you're right.....we have enough players on strike at the moment
oran Posted October 17, 2006 Author Posted October 17, 2006 this isnt exactly (sp) more strikers as fowler doesnt play, and huntelar will have,in my opinion,a big improvement on our scoring, much more then crouch.i dont think we should look at it as a striker for now,but more as a striker for decade (sp).he is probably the best young scorer in europe and if the price is right,we should be in for it.
Maldini Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 I wouldn't pay more than £10m for him at present, Kuyt is the better player. He's still very raw.

I don't expect 20M January purchases by any stretch. Anyway, I'd be willing to sell Crouch to (help) finance the deal. Fair point on the other positions.
Tones Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Him and Kuyt up front, with Crouch and Bellamy adding the competition. That would do me.
