He's a Catholic. Last time I checked you don't have to be Argentinian or Brazillian to be a Catholic. And I hardly think crossing yourself constitutes someone being a "religious nut".

So am I. I don't know of anyone who isn't from Latin America who does that though. He's not even very adept at doing it. When I refer to religious nuts, I am referring to the group who are extremely influential and popular in this country.
