Guest Skeever Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 John Martin wrote a good article about Liverpool life in the 2nd division and we just published it on LFCHistory.net Here's the link to it.http://www.lfchistory.net/redcorner_articl...article_id=1265 Enjoy
Kvarme Ate My Food Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 a good 18? above ground level very Spinal Tap love the article though!
Arnie Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 (edited) I would like to add that John Martin contacted us at LFChistory with a penalty miss from Billy Liddell that was missing from our website. He described it in such detail and entertaining fashion and most of all he was there at the ground that I encouraged him to write about his life as a Liverpool supporter and this is the result. If you are old enough to have witnessed decades of Liverpool football following your team or know somebody, your dad, grandfather or anybody who might be able to write about his unique expericences please contact me at editor@lfchistory.net. These tales of Liverpool support will soon get lost as time passes by and I think it's important to preserve them.. Cheers, Arnie Edited October 13, 2006 by Arnie
heighway Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 On a related topic, has anyone ever seen that BBC programme from the 1960's about the Kop? I've seen that great clip where they're all singing the Beatles' 'She Loves You' but was there a whole programme about the Kop or was it just a brief snippet?

And there was a whole programme about Heighway as you probably know.... An overnight sensation, he was turning up for training etc in a Volkswagen Beetle! Ford soon put a stop to that....
