ifanew Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Good win by Wales, granted against a poor side but a win all the same. Could have and should have been more goals had the ref been any good. Some very good individual performances, particularly by Koumas, Davies and Bale, but more importantly by our inspirational captain, he was everywhere, ran his socks off unselfishly set up the goal for Ernie and scored a very decent one himself, quite rightly voted Man of the Match. Lets hope he keeps it going, particularly against Blackburn.
smithdown Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Never seen so many teenagers in a side either. Looked like the under-19s in defence. Some good footy being played too.
sean Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Bring 'em on in Croke Park. I'll feel quite justified in telling Craig Bellamy how much I didn't like him.
Andy @ Allerton Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Hope Belly bangs 27 in against the Oirish
sean Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Hope Belly bangs 27 in against the Oirish 27? I bet you he doesn't.
Andy @ Allerton Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 27? I bet you he doesn't. I suspect you'd be right! But if he did - you'd be happy because that would be good for Liverpool wouldn't it?
sean Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 I suspect you'd be right! But if he did - you'd be happy because that would be good for Liverpool wouldn't it? No because Steve Finnan is in our defence
Andy @ Allerton Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 No because Steve Finnan is in our defence Good point!
cymrococh Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Really enjoyed that. Sign Bale is the new Sign Gabbidon.
MarkD Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Considering their respective results last weekend, and the inexperience of the Welsh (especially in defence), I thought they played good open football, kept the ball moving, were not afraid to pass and move and Bellamy gave a great performance. Toshack and Evans have definitely encouraged them to be confident with the ball with the knowledge that they have pace up front.
anny road Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 heard Hughes tonight saying he was a model pro at blackburn and no trouble at all
