Jarg Armani Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 hahaha at the above and hahaha in general. that was hilarious.
Spike Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 It was like watching a tractor ploughing a field this is the england I know and severely dislike
Ramón Benítez Hernández Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 You're all just bitter because England's cricket team won the Ashes.
Guest HarrowRed Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 I only watched it to see what the second best player and the best young player in the world were going to do
Cobs Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 You're all just bitter because England's cricket team won the Ashes.the bitterness runs way deeper than that
Andy @ Allerton Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 I only watched it to see what the second best player and the best young player in the world were going to do And the answer for 10 points is: f*** ALL Again
sean Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Why is there a dislike of the English national team by English nationals?
Stevie H Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Why is there a dislike of the English national team by English nationals?hype, jingoism, WAGs, bullsh*t in extremis, the s*n, george crosses with 'wakefield' on them, casual racism, general arrogance that they somehow deserve to win tournaments by right of inventing the game, the FA, gary neville. . . .take your pick.
Ostrich Man Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 And the answer for 10 points is: f*** ALL Again but they had carragher in defence....how come the other team scored. and crouch englands greatest goal scorer....yet no goals again? dont worry though folks, once gerrards back in the team they return to their trophy winning ways. or is it that they cant play as a team no matter how good the individuals on the pitch. george crosses with 'wakefield' on them, kahnee was at the match?
Cobs Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 or is it that they cant play as a team no matter how good the individuals on the pitch. seems to be the main problem just can't seem to play the game at a 'Premiership' tempo in Internationals been like that for the 20 odd years i've be watching them
Ostrich Man Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 been like that for the 20 odd years i've be watching themclass isnt it.
Stevie H Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 seems to be the main problemjust can't seem to play the game at a 'Premiership' tempo in Internationalsbeen like that for the 20 odd years i've be watching themit's not rocket science though is it? slow the f***ing game down, try playing some keep-ball and attempt to actually out-football your opponents rather than out-physicalling them. makes england diabolical to watch.
Cobs Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 it's not rocket science though is it? slow the f***ing game down, try playing some keep-ball and attempt to actually out-football your opponents rather than out-physicalling them. makes england diabolical to watch.i don't want us to slow the game down - we're crap when we do that
Stevie H Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 i don't want us to slow the game down - we're crap when we do thatthen we'll continue to be embarrassed by teams which are capable of that.
Andy @ Allerton Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 (edited) Why is there a dislike of the English national team by English nationals? I'm not English - I'm British - I was born on British soil - but not English Soil.. McLaran is a Manc Gary Neville, David Beckham (I Know he's not playing at present), Frank Lampard, Paul Ince, Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand, Orange Head and all the other assorted manc players England NF, Combat 18 fans (Most of them) The English press - love to see them upset after the s**** they say about Liverpool most of the time The English FA - building the new 'National' Stadium in f***ing Wembly?! Wembly!!! FFS!! Not in the middle of the country like Brum where everyone from all around can appreciate a National Stadium - but yet another f***ing s***hole in the f***ing s***hole that is London in a double-s***hole area like f***ing wembly - f***ing w*****s. And then!! Then!!! They can't finish it. w*****s. Look at the Welsh FA.. "Lets build a ground in Cardiff.." they build it for comparative buttons, no fuss, no messing.. English FA Couldn't organise FA. And that's just for starters. Edited October 12, 2006 by Andy
Cobs Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 then we'll continue to be embarrassed by teams which are capable of that.eh? do u think we should slow the game down or not?
Stevie H Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 eh? do u think we should slow the game down or not? i think we need to learn to know how to mix it up, yes. because the 100mph kick and rush premiership crap clearly doesn't work in competitive internationals.
Coyler Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Look at the Welsh FA.. "Lets build a ground in Cardiff.." they build it for comparative buttons, no fuss, no messing..Is Cardiff precisely in the geographical centre of Wales, though? Maybe the Welsh should stop supporting Wales.
Cobs Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 i think we need to learn to know how to mix it up, yes. because the 100mph kick and rush premiership crap clearly doesn't work in competitive internationals.but we hardly play like that in internationals, is my point. Is Cardiff precisely in the geographical centre of Wales, though? Maybe the Welsh should stop supporting Wales.looking at all the empty seats in the last 2 home internationals, i think they already have...
Andy @ Allerton Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Is Cardiff precisely in the geographical centre of Wales, though? Maybe the Welsh should stop supporting Wales. I think if you carefully consult geological maps of the British Isles, Wales is a teensy bit smaller than England from end to end. At present a Newcastle fan (For instance) would have a nightmare journey to London which is going to take many hours. If it had been in Brum - then its going to cut the journey time down for a lot of people. Travel from North Wales to South Wales is only a few hours when I've done it.
