melia Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 The memory of his television career almost surpassed my dim memories of him as a club comic. Thank goodness that was an almost.Ok, I was too young, in the seventies, to see his stand-up show in the cabaret clubs of Liverpool but I do remember having a good laugh at the albums recorded at these shows. It's 30+ years later and I can almost forgive him 'name that tune' onwards as I'm listening to these albums again (on MP3) and pissing myself laughing. It's good to hear a comic, of hist time and on top of his form.
